I'm trying to use paypal but am not sure about a few things. I tried using the customer support section on their site but it's shite, nobody's responded to me in three days. I need to know if to get verified you can add the bank accounts of friends and family. If you could help me out with that it'd be cool. Thanks.
As I recall getting verified is only a matter of them sending you a snail mail an you responding to verify the address you gave. As to calling them my understanding is that like with Ebay you need to have the secret insiders phone number. I don't have it with me, but if you go on Craigslist and pose the question in the right forum someone should be able to supply it. Good Luck!
I'll tell you guys the story of my friend named "Me." "Me" is 17 but needs to order certain things that require you to be 18 or older. So a friend of "Me" offered to allow "Me" to open up an account under his name, but doesn't want to add his bank account to get it verified. "Me" would like to use his own bank account to get verified, but is worried that Paypal might interpret this as identity theft on the part of the friend. I hope that makes some sort of sense.
dude its fine this is what I did Registered with my moms bank account then took it off and added mine on there about a week after hers had been verified and approved I have had no problems
Whose name is the account under, yours or your mom's? You think that'd work in my situation? My buddy absolutely refuses to add his bank account for any amount of time. And the account is under his name.
you can do it under anybodys name My ebay account is under my moms name my paypal account is under my name so it dosent really matter
I hear ya bro, its just with internet fraud being so high of late and all, you'd think Paypal would be going crazy with background checks and age verification. Just trying to cover my ass, and my buddy's. But see, the difference between my situation and your's is, I'm assuming you share the same address with your mother, whereas in my case my friend lives in a different place than I do, so it might arouse a little more suspicion if I start doing this kind of shit.
