my parents can't change my views as a hippie.I love them so much , but they look so indifferent and grey, they never smile, they never talk about feelings...I don't want to be like them when I get old. That's one of the reasons why I become a hippie

I feel they influenced me by...making me feel like I never had any rules. But that sort of backfires a bit, making it frustrating that now in my 20s, I'm learning skills I should have gotten long ago (for example: how to take out the trash, etc.) But... my parents influenced me by not really telling me anything about anything - and they never really asked me about anything either - unless I mention something I'm interested in and then it's 20 questions. So I had to hide interests from them and stuff. still do.
