    It's about an inch and a half. I was so happy with how it turned out!! Thanks for all the nice replies. :)

    i like it! i once made a hemp belt but i crocheted it and the beads were dangling down from it.

    I have been doing it for about 4 years now. I used 4 mm hemp for the belt and just some wooden beads and an old belt buckle (love to recycle things!!!) We are having jeans day at work tomorrow, so I will be able to wear it to work then!! I'm so excited!! :D

    garsh!! I REALLY LOve it!! hey can i just use a chrochet (sp?) needle and mad one of those without the beadsusing a simple chrochet stich?

    awesome belt, i should try to make one. never made anything other than something going around a neck. i had a friend who once made a backpack, i thought that was slick!

    any plans for another? have you made anything else?

    I have no idea if you can crochet it, i do not know how to crochet!! :p
    Other than standard necklaces, bracelets, etc. the belt was my first accessory other than jewelry type items.
