I have a custom system, with an AMD Athlon CPU (an old one, 1.4 GHz), 256 MB DDR, GeForce FX 128 MB video card.
I'm running a NorthGate with an AMD 1994 Mhz 5122 memory and a Maddog NIVDIA GeForce4 (I think). Also have a C64 (yardsold the other 5), two Amiga 1200s, an Amiga 2000 Toaster (that I have to get running some day) and an Amiga 4000 Toaster/Flyer that I haven't turned on for 2 months. Also have two E-machines that are going back to college with my sons real soon. One is brand new...2 weeks ago.
a custom built and two from a company called ipc who went under a while ago, which are now beside each other acting as a table
Mine is a "franken-machine" that I built; A Gigabyte board with a AMD Duron processor 1.3 GHz,1024MB ram,NVIDIA g-force 2mx200 video card,on board sound,3 internal hard drives,and 2 external hard drives(for a total of 300G storage)now if only I knew what I was doing and how to use it.
I've never tried "Alienware" but I've seen thier site. As for me, I like anything that is upgradable!
I have something that theorhetically used to be a compaq in that one of the harddrives is original, but I don't think there is anything else (cables excluded) that is from the ram to the optical drives to the case everything has been upgraded now.... I am going to have to build myself a new computer soon though, the mother board is turn of the century and it's not been able to keep up with all the stuff I've wanted to do with it...... I hope to have a dual nvidia 7800 system before this time next year, but that is with an absurd degree of optimism.....
I have an amd type computer I bought the housing with the mother board build in with 512mb ram.The optical drives the hdd video card and sound card I put in myself.Last week I upgraded my ram to 1024mb.Next time I'm gonna try to assemble a external hdd I read the tutorial on it.....
me I got a custom computer with 1 Gb ram and 256 video card . I got a thermalktake light up case with four fans in it and a cooling system included with the case.
I love my computer custom pc's are the best if you know how to build one and know whats good out on the market!!
I prefer building a custom computer due to the fact of shipping and your never really sure it's a good computer unless your doing it yourself or reading up on it.
