Responding to the outpouring of support for the planned Impeach Bush contingent at the September 24 rally at the White House, the impeachment movement has started reserving buses to take thousands of people to Washington D.C.

Buses are expensive to rent, but it's impossible to have a massive demonstration in Washington D.C. without reserving the buses, making down payments, and starting to sell at-cost tickets now. Keeping the price of bus tickets low is essential so that everyone who wants to participate can come to the September 24 rally.

Impeach Bush committees are organizing all over the country for September 24.

Buses are coming to Washington from as far away as Albuquerque, New Mexico. There will be hundreds of cities and towns that will be organizing buses, car caravans, and other means of transportation to come to the White House on September 24.

Since many people will be coming from New York City and other East coast cities, it is urgent that we reserve another 100 buses. To make the down payment we will need to raise $25,000 in the next ten days. This is just one of the many expenses that must be met as we build a truly mass, nationwide impeachment movement.

Make a donation today to help fund this movement. The next few months are a critical period and the movement can’t grow without your help. To make a contribution on our secure server, where you can also obtain information to write a check, click here. <http://www.pephost.org/site/R?i=XXDwCXJrc-U85MTUXuxhzw..>

By the first week of August we will have a full transportation page on the web site http://www.impeachbush.org/ <http://www.pephost.org/site/R?i=n5Q37kYHU3U__79IMdRSsQ..>. This page will allow everyone to see the local contact information in their area for bus and car travel to the September 24 demonstration.

On September 24, the ImpeachBush.org contingent will rally in a huge area called the Ellipse - the park at the south side of the White House - for which the anti-war coalition A.N.S.W.E.R. has secured a permit. The Ellipse is literally at the front door of the White House.

September 24 will be a historic day. Hundreds of thousands of people are coming together to engulf the White House in a sea of humanity - to demand an end to the illegal war and occupation of Iraq, and to insist that President Bush, along with Cheney, Rumsfeld and others be impeached for their criminal conduct. Their lies have resulted in the deaths of so many thousands of innocent people - and they must be held accountable.

I'm going to the rally on September 24 in Washington DC to protest. Since I'm a typical Bush-era victim of the economy, I can't afford to donate to the Dems to get his butt kicked out of office. So, since I'm a graphic designer, I'm giving out graphics that people can print on their home computers.

Free Impeach Bush Poster at: http://www.eileenburke.org

Just right click and copy; print as big as you can! More graphics going up daily, including some higher quality PDF's to download. All I ask is that you don't steal my work and sell it for profit - but no worries, only republicans would do that.

Slutter, if you're one of the kids in the photo at the bottom of your posts...then you don't exactly seem like the most appropriate type to be discussing politics. Shouldn't you be off somewhere enjoying your Playstation or X-Box??

Anyhow, this demonstration is expected to be huge. It looks like it's gonna turn out to be like a grand unification of the anti-war and global justice movements!

Anything you say, Nike boy...poster child for your apathetic generation. I swear, you represent everything I hate about today's youth (puppet) culture. All trying to look, talk, act, walk, and think exactly alike. You are a clone.

Unfortunately these days, your clothes (or the big corporate logos you like to sport) DO say a lot about your character. Think there's not a huge anti-corporate movement out there? Think I'm the only one, just talkin through my ass? Trust me, there are lots of us and we are networking like mad. Read Kalle Lasn's "Culture Jam". You just might learn something real for the first time in your life.

    Wake up.

Anyhow, stay tuned for updates about this upcoming mobilization. Anti-war groups along with global justice activists of many different stripes will finally come together in a collective shout to say NO to the corporate Bush agenda, NO to imperialistic war, NO to global hegemony, NO to the homogenization of our culture, and NO to the Constitution-shredding Patriot Act. This is gearing up to be something big...

Ah the questioning of the innocent...
Well for a start, this is what bush really thinks of you.

He really wants you all to be drones, rather than free thinking, up standing men. He likes a nation of working poor so that you are easy to control and fool.

The fact that he can't put two words together into a meaning statement is proof enough that the good sweet lord thinks he's a bit of a drop-kick.

He's a free-mason, and proud of it, so to him you are nothing but cattle and heathen.
Don't take my word for it. Check out this site on freemasons and free your mind.

Ann Coulter is probably the reason Bill clinton was impeached. she wrote high crimes and misdemeanors, and the conservatives in the house got up in arms about it.

I could go on and on about Bush being a liar and an how hes done a sorry job of being President but we all know about the bad things he's done. He openly lied about Iraq and got us into an unnecessary war that has cost thousands of lives and billions of dollars.

How about putting our hard earned $'s toward the upcoming mid-term elections so we can break the Neo-Conservative stranglehold on the House and Senate?

aaaaannnnddd....name me a polititian that told the truth on a regular basis. And honestly do you think anyone he ran against would have been any better? laughable man! Really, for a polititian in the two main parties he is not doing that bad of a job.

It's really funny you know...how you made that statement about him lying and then you go on and follow it up with a blatent lie. Hypocrite! Well, I guess you can't be blamed for being ignorant and misinformed. Just out of curiosity, did you go to a public school [dont worry i did, but i wised up, so there is hope]? How about do you listen to mainstream media? I wouldn't doubt it from that ignorant statement. The fact of the matter is Saddam had wmd's, he infact did have terrorist ties. There is plenty to prove this. Why ignore it? The war is creating a democracy in a part of the world that needs a democracy. The people there can vote for thier government, and now have basic freedoms. Soooo bad!!! Ok, so we lose lives in this war. Remember the people we are fighting over there took over 3,000 American lives when they crashed into the towers. Plus countless other lives in numerous terrorist actions. Do we just let it go and hope it doesn't happen again? If Clinton would have finished the job we would not be in Iraq currently. I hope we don't withdraw until the job is done.

I sure as hell am not voting for some liberal that supports using our money for useless, unwanted, unconstitution, socialistic programs. But to be fair I won't vote for a conservative that does the same.

  13. if the downing street memos are found to be legitimate and I don't even think their legitimacy has been questioned then there might be an opening to nail him on the whole false pretext for attacking iraq

attacking iraq isn't a problem, that is fine, we have been looking to do that for awhile and clinton was even bombing occasionally

but the false pretext and lying to congress could get his ass nailed very very quickly, under the same idea as clinton just slightly bigger ramifications (stains on a blue dress v. 10,000 civilians dead at last american military estimate)

yeah, I think georgie porgie pudding pie will need a better lawer to keep from making all the right wing nutsos from breaking down to cry if anything comes of this......

Nothing will come of this. Why? Because he did not lie in order to invade Iraq. No matter what you left wing nuts say.

I don't like the man, BUT he did not lie about that specific detail. Iraq had wmd's, and terrorist ties, and was a tyranical dictator. I am not defending him, I am defending the truth.

A description of the bill and Clinton's statement about it:

    http://www.iraqwatch.org/government/US/Legislation/ILA.htm

    http://www.library.cornell.edu/colldev/mideast/libera.htm

The bill called for the removal of Hussein but not by an all-out military invasion based on a single premise, as the Bush administration did. The approach was to put political, economic, and diplomatic pressure on Hussein. It also made reference to the human losses due to Hussein that the Bush administration didn't seem to want to use as justification for an invasion. Of course, it wasn't until post-911 that the govt had an excuse for an all-out invasion.

The last section makes reference to the military:

    "SEC. 8. RULE OF CONSTRUCTION.

Nothing in this Act shall be construed to authorize or otherwise speak to the use of United States Armed Forces (except as provided in section 4(a)(2)) in carrying out this Act ."

The weakness of the Bush administration's approach was that they chose to justify the invasion mainly on a single military premise, and a flimsy one at that. If you're going to do an all-out military invasion of another country, you should at least have some good reasons, better than the 'aluminum pipes from China' or supposed 'uranium from NIgeria' line.

Instead they used the psychological tactic of planting seeds of fear in the minds of Americans. Recall Bush's pre-invasion remarks at his SOTU speech about the giant mushroom cloud over America if Iraq wasn't invaded.

A couple of years have gone by and they're still not sure what they are charging Saddam with. Those things should have been decided upon before any invasion. But that's typical of the Bush administration's cart before the horse approach. That's why people say the administration isn't too bright.
