Its called RISUG, it has an infallible success rate, lasts ten years, and is a small injection. Its been undergoing tests in India for twent-five years without problems. Could be here (Canada) in a year or so. I know I'm getting it, my girl has had to bear that burden enough.
Oh, and it uses an electrical polarity opposite the sperms to kill its shields, like flying and X-Wing into the side of the Death Star. or something geeky like that.

sorry... I just don't trust a guy to keep up his end and actually get it done. He's not hte one who'd have to carry the kid after all.

Not to be an ass, but I don't think you get it... it's not like female births control, it's not something you're supposed to do every day, you get it done once and it last for about 10 years

but...it could very well be reversible...You don't have to take on the every day responsibility of taking a fucking pill...You get one shot, one fucking shot, and you're done!

We have to take pills that fuck up our hormones and periods at the same time everyday....and it's not fool proof, so there's still a risk of pregnancy. You guys get it light, as far as I am concerned.

There's no side effects from RISUG?

10 years sounds like a LONG time.....

But then again, I'll take it. Don't trust women in this regard.

I guess it does go both ways, the trust about birth control or whatever...

As far as side effects, it did seem like it was fairly sideeffect free...it's just an electrically charged gel...

Actually, with an electrically charged gel sitting inside your naughty bits, I bet that would pose the risk of cancer somewhere down the line.

Hippyfreek - if you get pregnant and decide you don't want the hassle, expense etc. of a child and aren't ready you can see a nice doctor who'll vacuum out your uterus and un-make you pregnant.

If you are a man and your girlfriend decides she wants to be married to you, or that she would like you to support her oops! she can take her Flintstones vitamin by mistake or something and BAM there YOU are on the hook for at least eighteen years to pay for it.

I know a LOT of guys have cut and run and that the bulk of the bullsh*t that surrounds unwanted pregnancy falls on the woman, but damn it was hard watching my buddy roped into that at 15.

    that's nice.

I still don't trust a guy to be safe like that. I don't go with only condoms either. Paranoid, why not, it's better than having to take care of a kid before you're ready.

You're doing a lot of generalizing, we're kind of assuming that if you're going to have sex with a guy you know him pretty well, but i guess since were all dicks it doesn't matter.

christ, if I were a man I wouldn't trust a woman on birth control, I'd still use a condom until we'd been seeing each other for quite a long time. This isn't about man-hating, it's about not wanting to bring another being into this world that I'm not ready to take care of.

That's what I'm thinking. So many drugs are labeled as safe, then years down the line, people start popping up with drug related problems. Especially, since this lasts ten years..it must be really strong. Plus, ten years is a long time...who knows what a guy will want next year, much less ten years from now. Otherwise,it sounds good.
Hmm after reading more about it,I'm not sure how that even works. It went over my head a little lol...

well, if you go to the site that is given in the third post, it says it is reversable.. If the male takes the shot, and 6 years down the line, or whatever time limit for that matter, all he has to do is get another shot, and it cures him of his infertillity.
