Who here likes Simon & Garfunkel? I've recently got into them and they've been my inspiration to finally start learning acoustic guitar. I don't understand why they're so unpopular among teens, same with Meatloaf (Who I love, as well).
i think they're great! My fave song of them is 'the only living boy in New York', that's really beautiful!
There are so many songs I've thought are the best At the minute I'm playing "Keep the Customer Satisfied" over and over until I get bored of it. And that's not gonna happen
I only know a handful of their songs, I like what I've heard. I only know the famous songs like Mrs Robinson, Sound of Silence, Hazy Shade of Winter and America off the top of my head.
i have always loved there music, hazy shade is probaly my fav. saw meatloaf do paradise by the dashboard lights in fresno, damn near an x rated show, alot of fun
I borrowed the Bridge over troubled water LP from my mother a few weeks ago, it was very good. Downloaded it as MP3 now.
I like them, I remember listening to my parents old records.....they do have a bad side though, the side that wrote "Feelin' Groovy" I like allthe ones mentioned, as well as The Boxer, I am a Rock, Scarborough Fair....of course the classic movie the Graduate helped me to really appreciate them
I have the concert in central park dvd.... I am a true addict.... a heart in new york, 50 ways, my little town, sound of silence, long long day, oh marion, celia...... oh I have made an effort to hear them all and paul simon solo (some are mixed in there) I even have the muppet show episode with him (only "the muppet show" ep with songs all written by one person) also one trick pony (awful movie, great sound track) paul simon is my ultimate #1 favourite artist and have ya heard a simple desultory philippic (or how I was macnamara'd into submission) great dylan allusion\lampoon thing my sig is a line from boy in the bubble.......
I'm not a real expert, because I know only few songs from Simon and Garfunkel: The Boxer, El Condor Pasa, The Sound of Silence and Mrs Robinson, but I like them all! They are absolutely great And I connect these artists with my memories about the German psychilogist and psychodrama-teacher Berthard Achterberg . He was a real fan and a real hippy from the 60's. When he came in Bulgaria he did play with his flute El Condar Pasa (If I Could)!
I love Simon & Garfunkel! The music is just so perfect, beautifull in every way... My dad made me listen to a cd of them, when I was ten or something, I've been in love since.
I like them, my sig is from April Come She Will. Thats always been my favorite by them even though its a short song.
They are one of my all time favorites. Their music brings me absolute peace. I don't care if they couldn't get along with each other; they still made great music together. I have the "Breakaway" album that Art Garfunkel produced when he went solo...it's awesome
I love them... ADORE them... don't own an album though, just a bunch of songs that I've downloaded over the years. My mom's a huge fans she has all the vynil records, which I have been enjoying as well..
