Anybody see the site about the attack of the 14 foot grizzly bear in Canada? I measured 14 feet up on my house, that comes to the middle of the second floor! He could look in your upstairs window! http://www.cloverrodandgunclub.com/Grizzly/grizzly_bear.htm A word of warning, the third picture is a very graphic snapshot of a half eaten hiker don't look if you got a weak stomack.
wow. that is amazing, i cant even imagine, being the hiker who stumbled upon it. Looks like he had a pretty rough time.
Kind of a shame to have killed such a magnificent beast, though I suppose if it's a man-eater and that big, it might be safer to have it dead.
"You know how to tell black bear scat from grizzly scat? Black bear scat contains traces of roots, berries, and hair of small rodents. Grizzly scat contains scraps of Gortex, bear bells, etc..." With neighbors like that I swear by my slug loaded 10 guage side by side.
Wow, Makes you wonder how big some of the ones that are still out there are. I've been to alaska twice and have been pretty close to more then one grizzly, but they were not even half his size. I wonder how old he was?
Makes me wonder if there are any nucaler (said in best Crawford, Texas twang) power plants near the grizz's range. ~yah, dot's a beeg grizz, but, wha geez, you shoult see da elk, hey!~
Uh, sorry... Seems to be a bogus report. I looked around more today, Urban Legend has debunked it. The first two photos are real but the bear was 10' 6" tall, not charging, not a maneater (which makes me pissed off that someone would shoot this beautiful animal for sport) and brought down with a 338, 6 shots. The source of the third picture is unknown. http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl-grizzlybear5.htm There are three versions of this story, that's how I got Alaska in Canada. Sorry again.
yeah, I thought I recognized the third picture, but couldn't remember were from... The bear is still very big, but that third picture, I think, may have been from a guy killed and then he was partially eaten by something (it's been a while!). but still, that's a big ass bear.
