Yep!!! Since Spain was dropped out the championship, everything has been going strangely good, now, the best would be a final between Portugal and CzechRep. And I'm sorry my Portuguese friends, but I'm for CzechRep. I like your team, but as someone told the Czechs have killers, and they have my favourite player in this tournament since I saw their first match Baros. He's an assassin, a machine.
Ok, I also love Miguel, the Portuguese defender, he is a really good player and his name is the same as mine's, hehehhe.

I hope it will be the final and let's see who wins.

And Ayesha, incredible your answer for those stupid "supporters".
I'll begin to call you seriously "Tigresa", hehehehehe ;)

I'm sorry all you Portugal fans but Holland are going to thrash you. Ruud Van will get at least 2, and David, or how ever his name is spelt will get one. that's my prediction.

Tomorrow is the great match between Portugal and the Netherlands.
After that match I will be going to a 5-day festival so I hope they put up some big screens if we make it to the final so we can watch it there.

I think the match between the Dutch and Portugal will be a great game... but as of now, I see the Portuguese winning and facing the Czechs in the final.

    My thoughts exactly...

If that happens (which I believe will), then I hope Czech wins!

    Love,

Hey Sue, I also love the stories by Tove Jansson myself :). When I was a child, I always wondered what was on the other side of these mysterious mountains that the moomi-valley is surrounded of. (and I'm still amazed of what's on the other side of a mountain when I see one abroad/ when travelling- cuz in my own country, I'm not used to mountains - they are pretty rare!) ;)

-And when it comes to football:
Czech Republic was simply better than the danes. The danes sucked and was totally disapointing. By other words: the danish team didn't deserve to continue, simply because they were too bad!!
I think Czech Republic and Portugal will be in the finale together, but I'm wishing the greeks good luck, and I hope they'll win!!! :)

    love,

p.s. why is the number of smileys in one post restricted? That restriction is without any logical sense.

I wasn't able to watch the second half. It was simply too painful!!! (so at that time, I sat in my other room ("the cave" I call it), sat on 'Incredible String Band' and lit a giant joint, in the meanwhile). ;)

Anyway, thanks for your warm reply, bird migration. I knew Czech Republic would be dangerous, but the danes were also just much too unlucky and too un-professional to face those natural borned masters-with-a-ball, I think. ;)
-They didn't prove the opposite for sure.

    love,

    -wolfie :)

p.s. good luck with Holland, btw! :)
(-and if they win, I hope they'll meet Greece July 4th!!)

Congrats to Portugal , nice 2-1 victory, well deserved. The game was intense in the first half, while the second half was, well... dull.

I'm hoping for a good Portugal - CzechRep final.

These were the two teams which scraped through undeservedly on penalties, Holland in particular after what I felt was a poor group stage. But Portugal deserved to win it. Figo played slightly better in the first half than he has been playing, he really has been shockingly poor throughout this whole tournament. Let's hope they can liven up a bit before the final. They'll certainly have to go some to beat the Czech Rep (after they walk through their clash with Greece tomorrow night!)

In summary: props to the Portuguese and commiserations to the Dutch!

    MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Your luck went away last night, the next will be the Czechs victory, I don't know why, but I like the Czechs, I mean, I like how they play and how they won all the matches in this championship, and they have the terrific Baros, the machine.
I'm sorry, but yes I'm a bloody bastard, (I can't remember the English for "traidor") and we'll see Figo, Deco, Ronaldo, Miguel (the best hehehe) and company crying at the end of the final, we can bet again Tigresa, hehehehe

:H Migle, Hahahahaha! I like you, you're so funny! Ok, we can bet and I'll win again! You just don't learn, Guapo!
I really admire the Czechs, good team, it would be a hard game but ...Oh yes, (Migle, this one is special for ya) they'll win us the way the Spanish won us a few weeks ago!:p
Anyway, I hope that Greece wins because I met some greek fans and they were very friendly to me and my friends... ;)

Well, who expected that? I'm just glad there wasn't another penalty shoot-out, I've had enough of those! Both teams looked dangerous at times, but the Czechs were particularly unlucky a few times and were the better team. Props to Greece though, they too deserved to be there just as the Czechs did for having had a pretty good tournament and beating some teams who are better on paper.

And, because they have to be the underdogs, I'm cheering on GREECE on Sunday! Come on you GREEKS! You beat Portugal once already a few weeks ago, it'll be a walkover. Come on you
    GREEKS!

Nice game, that goal on the 15th of overtime was indeed devastating, i did not expect it.

Holy shit!!!! I'm really disappointed :( , I expected a great victory from the Czechs, but Nedved's bad luck was very important at the end, I wanted Czech Rep to win because their football is more visual, the Greeks don't make good football, they have a great team, and they do their kind of football very well, but I don't like the way they play. A final between Portugal and Czech Rep would have been a nicer match than with Greece, but anyway my congrats to Greece, and I hope Portugal can do their good play in spite of the Greek rude defenders.
So on, I regret from my traition (thanks moominmamma for your help ;) ) and I become a member of the Portuguese "torcida" again. And so, Ayesha I can't bet, and I think it's better, because I lost the last time and you're right, I never learn hehehehehehe.

    Come on Portugal!!!!!!!!!!

Whoops Migle, I should have known better than to try and give language help. Reading the thread above I think I got it wrong ? Traition isn't a word in English, traitor is a noun meaning betrayer, maybe traidor better translates as treason or treachery , all different words that can describe a disloyal act, so you could then say I regret my treachery or treason .

Ah well, never take language advice from an English woman!

And while I am here, didn't I say in an earlier thread that GREECE were Arsene Wengers outside bet for the tournament......However I am still staying with

    :) PORTUGAL:sunglasse
