you seem to be missing the point of why popping pimples is a topical issue in the hippie movement. some people consider the popping pimples to be a violent act arrising out of excessive vanity, both of which are antithetical to hippie values. while some say it is not a violent act but a simple surgical procedure, the benefits of this surgical procedure are dubious as pimple popping can both result in scarring and infection.

brushing one's teeth is not violent nor is it born out of excessive vanity but it is simply one of good hygiene and so i see no reason why not a hippy would brush their teeth.
