I need some advice. Last weekend there was a party where six of my friends were *supposedly* rolling. Cops found out a few days later and who was *supposedly* rolling. They've been calling down everyone for questioning and are trying to scare people into fessing up. I've been telling everyone to plead the 5th, that the cops are lying to you and that they can't do anything to you unless you admit to drug use. So far it's been working pretty well, and the cops have been getting really pissed off screaming and cussing (good indicator they're not getting what they want). A few rumors have been flying round I need help clearing them up. A few of them I shot down right away, like X stays in you for months. Here's a few others -7 years for every pill sold. The person who *supposedly* sold them is going to be screwed like fuck then. -They've been threatening kids by saying if they lie they'll get double and they're going to get tried as adults and get 12 years. Now I'm not savvy on drug sentencing for X, but this seems pretty wildly ridiculous. Anyone know any resources I can check out to verify this info? I'm trying to give my friends all the help and support they need.
I can't link you directly to any resources, but I can definitely tell you that you won't get 7 years / pill. I've known a few people that ended up getting busted slingin' rolls with a few hundred on hand and got no more than 9 months in county. Obstruction of Justice is a pretty serious crime in and of itself, but like you've already said, if nobody admits to it then there's absolutely nothing the police can do. There's obviously no evidence that it even happened, so just remind everybody that if they keep their mouths shut that you'll all be fine. However, you'll probably be under surveillance for a short while, so if you need to talk about drugs do it STRICTLY in person, or my preferred method, payphone-to-payphone.
You think I'd been under surviellance too? Shit, probably am now that I think about it, I live in a small town, the authorities know what I'm about. I narrowly averted being at the party in the first place. I got grounded for neglecting to tell my parents where I was the weekend before (at a lake house tripping balls, absolutely beautiful). Good weekend to be grounded huh?
The one bit of help I can offer since I don't know what state you're in is that most states have a web page that list the particulars of the laws of that indiviual state. Go to www.(your states name).gov/ and explore for their legal code and inform yourself. That way they can't scare you and your friends by making threats they can't deliver on which they will do if they think it might break you emotionally. Good luck.
Say nothing, they cant prove anything now anyway because said drug is no longer in said body, Lawyer up just in case. If they keep it up you might have a good case for unlawfull harrassment. Just keep a cool head and dont provoke anyone who carries a stick and a gun. Pith

They can identify your ISP, not where you live threw your IP, + most people are either behind a router or have an IP mask on. (your computer sometimes does this automatically I believe).
Our town is Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Our cops are assholes, not only is there this situation, but we have some of the worst speed traps in the country. There was another officer that came for questioning, but nobody recognized him. All the kids accused of using E followed my advice and kept their mouths shut. Officer Brook acted very unprofessionally, screaming and cussing, and among other things threatening they'd get double the sentence for lying, and that they had proof. When one of my friends asked Brook if he could swear at him like that, Brook replied, "I can do whatever the fuck I want." Two kids did admit to being there, both of them were just drinking though. They gave the cops a list of the other kids, and the cops luckily gave up on the X thing but still slapped everyone with $700 tickets for disorderly conduct (apparently some neighbors complained about the noise). A few of my friends are fighting this as well for sure, its total bullshit, it was just the desperate act of a pig that wanted to get his big bust. If you're writing a book about stuff like this I'd love to help and I'm sure my friends would like to tell their side of the story. If you want to I could try to put you in contact with them.

The only thing the police can find is your ISP as Weedman said and for the most part ISP's are very protective of their customers privacy and will not turn over records without a warrant signed by a judge. Being behind a router or having an IP mask does not make you the least bit anoymous. If the police really wanted to find out who was posting something, it wouldn't be too hard. I know someone who is the CEO of a large ISP in california, and he told me that they change each users IP address constantly, and destroy the records as to which customer had X ip at a certain date (So if the RAAA comes in with a warrant, they can safely say they no longer have the records to bust you) I don't see why you are even worrying about a cop accusing you of being under the influence? Possession of MDMA is against the law, as long as you aren't caught with any drugs in your possession you are fine (as you already know apparantly) X stays in your system for 1-3 days (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mdma/mdma_testing.shtml) I'm having trouble finding sentencing per pill, but federal guidelines recently changed. A first time offender caught selling 800 pills will receive between 5.25 years and 6.5 years. Well they were mainly threatening the kids who were under the influence and trying to make them think they were going to get in trouble for it so they could get them to squeal on the girl who was distributing. They were going to try to fuck her over. Thank god it didn't work. Even though these kids couldn't have gotten in trouble for being under the influence of X, they are minors, so if the pigs would have made this public information and told their parents their lives at home would have been hell, and a few would not like the reputation of being a person that uses X. Do you think its too late to call the ACLU? Its been around two months since they got their tickets.
I have a fiend who was arrested while tripping acid and he took the rest of the acid right before he got cuffed and they didnt know what was wrong with him and he had no ID. The kid didnt say anything because he was tripping so hard and they just took him in and stuck him in a cell for the night. They couldnt get anything from him so they werent allowed to keep him for more than 24 hours and just let him go.
