*daydreaming* when i grow up i want to start my own religion... i can't think of any thing new to believe in so i'll base it on christianity, after all christianity is based on other religions such as the sun dics from anciant egypt and the pics of god based on zeus. hmm, now i hat competiton so i'll have to do away with the other threats to my religion.

i'll also stifle any body's opinion that is not the same as mine and condem them to hell...better yet i'll not call it a religion, it will be a political party. and i wont condem them to hell, i'll condem them to death. yea, this will work.-*wakes up*-"wow, im a nazi".

Reading this just causes pain in my heart. It's so hard to hear people bash the loving God that leads me, comforts me and motivates my thoughts and actions. It's also hard being associated with any kind of political party or person because I follow Christ.

*sigh* A life of faith is certainly not easy.

That's only if they have a proclivity and propensity to believe as you do. It doesn't really matter if you think that God shouldn't kill, what matters is, do you hate? Do you swear at people? Do you get angry with people? Do you fight with people? Do you think you are superior to people? Do you cheat people? Do you lust over people? Have you hurt anyone lately?, by word or deed? If it was by word, why couldn't you contain yourself? Just because they hurt you? That is being childish.

First master yourself, your mind and your body. Only then do you have any right to question "God". Don't be glib and say, "I'm just human." That's a cop out, as is, "everyone does it." All you seem to be doing is throwing the onus on "God" so that you don't look at yourself.

You're an atheist. Fine. Now prove to be that you're a better person because of it.

Secondly, I don't blame "God" because I don't recognize such an entity. I blame religious bigots and fundamentalists who try to shove their bullshit down our throats through legislation and other methods of FORCE.

I know I am better than Biblegod at LEAST. I've never raped, slaughtered, starved, mauled, or even robbed any man on the face of the earth. I've loved my children even if they cursed me. I would never torture them. I don't disown people or threaten them with an arsenal of eternal damnation (even if I could) for DISAGREEING and I don't really care what your religion says as long it is stays out of my business.

You don't recognize that God is the one that does everything for you, holds the universe together, makes your friends, brings you food, controls every single thing in such a way that you are comfortable and feel that you have freedom within God's power. Not one atom moves that God does not move.

So the one who cares for you, you do not even acknowledge. You credit the ones that God uses to care for you instead of their creator. Unrequitted love of this magnitude, sheesh. You rape God daily... You rape God every time you have an orgasm and do not recognize that God gave it to you. You rape God every time you take a bong hit. You rape God with every sip of pepsi you take without acknowledging the one who gave it to you.

so all the poor people dying of starvation etc around th world and all the cruelty and inhumanity was deliberately made by god, how nice of him

even if i did believe in god i wouldnt want anything to do with a being that deliberately causes pain and cruelty.

its easy for us to say that our lives and have been made the way they are by god and that we should be thankful for that but if it was true that god makes everything happen i dont think the people starving in africa would feel very thankful!!!

If you knew the reason for pain, you would love God.

How do you know how God makes these people feel? If you are not attached to material posessions, you can learn to appreciate the spiritual things in life, and these "poor" people are born into a situation that can turn them towards the spiritual, so they learn not to worry about material wealth and achieve inner peace with God which is the begining of true wealth (as Scrooge McDuck would say "My first Dolluh!").
