So who here has also been hearing alot about these guys. A while back before they got so adverstised, i was flipping through the tv and came across the mtv's you hear it first logo. I really dont like mtv very much but the you hear it first can acually be pretty cool cuz it lets you see upcoming bands that are sometimes pretty talented. Anyways i stoped on it and saw this segment on these guys. I saw a music video of Banquet after it. I acually kinda like these guys. Im not sure what it is, maybe its just the fast pased beat im not sure it just makes me kinda feel like dancing around real fast and crazy. I dunno. Since then im been downloading alot of there music and theyre acually pretty cool. What do yall think.
Yeh, I also like them a lot. It's clear their sound is full of influences, but they've made something of their own from it. Bloc Party is a talented band.
bloc party rules!! probably one of the best debute albums of the past year!! and i saw them at the werchter festival and they rocked the place down!!!
Bloc Party? Not my cup of tea. I heard a lot of good things about them and decided to buy their album. I'm disappointed. They're the kinda of band that is very popular now but to no-one listens to anymore 2 years from now. Groeten aan de Belgen vanuit Dilbeek.
the first time i listened to bloc party was quite similar to dark star... one night, flicking through channels i got to the 101 minutes programme on MTV2 that plays mostly altrnative music by upcoming bands and most of the time its really cool stuff. "here we are" was the first song I heard and i went straight to my computer to download it. i like them very much but i havent got their album.
