Two of my cousins (who are girls) are like starving themselves (they eat like nothing). They are incredibly skinny. They are both incredibly nice (especially to small children). I was in my cousins car and I found her magazines, they were like "14 magazine" or something and had lindsay lohan and who all on and in them.Its driving me fewre insane. Ones 8th grade and other is Senior in Highschool.
It's truely sad that pop culture is infested with weight obsession. Well, pop culture in general is sad..
please read this thread http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106818&page=1&pp=40 analita was 1 of the worse anorexics i've ever seen..shes been to 68 pounds incges from death & was ripping out feeding tubes i saw pics of her at 75 pounds & it scared the shit out of me..it was like looking at a skeleton with skin colored spraw paint on it the sad part is, if you go to her website (which her freind put up..she didn't) & look at the guestbook you'll see hundreds of girls who looked up to her for inspiration arter resading that i was both pissed & depressed..i've seen 1sst hand what ana went through day by day to live that way..& even had a horribvle nightmare about her death..that nightmare when i told her about it was the final thing that made her choose health, hope, & happinness over death, depression & sickness i think shes finaly found joy in healling, & although its only been a week or so since shes chosen health..& shes only gained 2 pounds so far, her attitude is so much better & i truly beleive she will be ok in time if you'd like, feel free to put your cousins in touch with me..& pleadse read that thread too
I read that thread, I just didn't post on it. One thing that really pisses me off is cute girls who want to lose weight. I saw these two girls who had, what I considered perfect bodys. Then later when I was sitting by them (and they started talking amongst themselves) they talked about how they wanted to lose like 20 lbs. WHAT! So that they can be skeletons? It makes me want to shoot whoever publishes those magazines.
i totaly agree with you there....& i think the owners of xaing.com or whatever it is should be shot too for allowing hundreds of pro anorexic sites..theyre like a club of competetive anorexics..every month or so one dies..yet theres hundreds trying to out starve eachother..
wpow man i had never heard of that site but that is sick teenagers have enough worries going through puberty etc with out stuff like this out there. the magazines here in england are no better and if you read some of the prob pages it makes your hair curl.i have banned them from my house . all three of my youngest teenage daughters say regularly that they are fat .and they have all very beautiful figures ...but we have no serious prob with it ........popstars and film stars etc need to get more responsible attitudes and get real .....they and the media have a responsibility to their fans.whats with this skinny thing anyway i like to see a male and a female with a bit of meat on and you girls out there ask most guys and they say the same .a curvy woman is much more attractive......good luck with your cousins i hope they see the light and do not have to go to the dark place ana is on her way back from
anorexia isn't about being attractive to the other sex, infact its usually the complete opposite. even girls who just wanna be thinner aren't usually thinking about boys, its just a competitive thing between them and other girls.
