it's that time of year again folks...

Yes that's right, it's leaving season on Hipforums, that time of the mid-summer when we all decide it's time to "find ourselves" and that we should stop posting on the internet except for one final and dramatic "goodbye everybody" message.

This year I'm running a poll on who'll be the next to leave, I will be taking bets and running a book as well, so roll up roll up for the hottest new sport of the season

There were only ten spots in the poll Sorry to everyone else I left out, I just included the odds-on favourites. I will of course be taking bets on anyone who you feel might be tempted to make that dramatic departure. Kat I'd say would be about 68-1 against, well worth a dabble, so place your bets now!

I don't know why people have to leave the forums to find themselves. All I have to do is look in a mirror and bam! There I am.

Maybe there's a mirror shortage in certain parts of the country?

at 100-1 DokAtomic leaving to set up a self-sufficient cabbage farm co-operative, at 40-1 jonny2mad becoming a hermit in the Louisiana swamps, at 12-1 against it's matthew joining a nudist commune, at 5-1 we have Iago2 declaring himself a woman trapped in a man's body and seeking medical remedy in South America, and at evens it's Jaz running away to join "Cradle of Filth" ... but the 2-1 odds-on favourite is of course Fleassy leaving to set up a Llama colony...

 

We received a series of large anonymous bets on this option a few moments before the event, our legal team are currently looking into foul play. Meanwhile, my mathematicians are still trying to calculate odds on Power13 leaving the forums to become a stand-up comedian ... they have "never seen so many zeroes" apparently

 

I don't need to leave the forums to pursue a career in comedy, when there are so many people here

 

i've left a couple of times. never felt the need to announce it and feed off the attention from what replies there might have been.

i think it's generally called summertime.
...y'know, when people travel a bit more and do more outdoor activities

there's also the law of deminishing returns. when you get tired of repeating yourself to new members etc and bugger off for a sabbatical.

last time i 'left' i went to live on the other side of the planet for six months.

Last time I tried to run from the internet they found me outside Little Chef on the outskirts of Ipswich vomiting blood and trying to push a tuna fish sandwich into my gaping vacant eyes.
