    :)

I have opened an MSN Group called Quest for Truth.

    The address is http://groups.msn.com/QuestforTruth

    Email is QuestforTruth@groups.msn.com

It is intended as a place for uplifting communication bewtween Christians. A place for images, poetry, writing, and music (if permitted) to those of us with a true love for God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and truth.

Since I am the manager, atheists, fanatics, and disruptive people will be eliminated so that a positive environment prevails.

    Won't you join me there?

Well I might, but you have already said I will be eliminated so that a "positive" environment can prevail. I think it is a great I dea, and people of like minds should always have a place to go and exchange ideas. I just have one question:
Is it a 'Quest for Truth' or a 'place for uplifting communication bewtween Christians'. In my experience one who bars people with varying positions is not at all interested in truth. Truth stands up to criticism. A quest for truth shoudl certainly include more than a VERY strict subset of opinions. Wouldn't you think? Maybe you should call it 'Quest for Self-Indulgence'. Where no one will question, no one will seek, and probably no one will find.

    Good luck just the same.

Popthree13, this group may not be for you, as it is a place for conversation rather than debate. It is a place where argumentation is placed on the back burner; where edification may blossom; where the seeds of discord are not sown. Your premise that there must be differing opinions for truth to be sought is simple wrong. I have heard and read so many differing opinions in my life that my soul is weary of it. I have not found truth in those opinions. But, when two or three are gathered in Jesus stead, the Spirit of Jesus (who is the Truth) is found among them. Thanks for your communication.

    Welcome, Ryupower & HippieLngstckng.

Because you are the first two members (and because I need help) I would like to invite the two of you to become assistant managers of the group. I want to ensure that it is a really good experience for all that join, and I think your positive attitudes and sunny dispositions thoroughly apply themselves to such a task.

    Please let me know. Thanks.

I think you are probably right this group probably isn't for me. Seeds of discord are sown by closed-minded people on any side of a search for truth. Some can search without it... question without it... some can not. I can certainly appreciate a weary soul. One who has found their personal truth and chooses to abide by it. I just wanted to point out the duality in your words.

An invitation... but many are not invited.
A quest for truth (almost always born through disagreement) where there sould be no disagreement.

I am in no way being critical of your idea, just the juxtaposition of conflicting messages.

    Hello again, Pop*
Thanks for your communication. Some, I guess, see conflicting messages where none are sent. And hey, it's no biggie to go uninvited. I've gone all my life without being invited. I am not too unlike most other people; when I take a break at work, I usually find a still, quiet place to sit, and comforting people to sit with.
