No, i actually think it makes me a safer driver under the influence because instead of pressing down out of control im able to control just how much i push down on the peddle, maybe i didnt explain it correctly or you didnt understand it correctly. and dont get me wrong i dont smoke just so i can go hop in my car-- i think ive driven stoned only about 2 times in my life--but it is a pretty interesting experience
Thats the kinda funny logic people keep telling me...But what that really means is, ur a dangerous driver IN THE FIRST PLACE without the weed...I doubt "pressing the peddle out of control" constitutes safe driving....U shouldnt have a license if u need weed to drive "safer"....
i was actually comparing it to say driving while drunk (which ive never done but can imagine) and im one of the safest drivers i know in my circle of friends so im a bit offended by your last comment =(
Didnt think so. So am I negative about shit like that? Yeah I am... Sorry if i seem like I'm aimin this at u...Im not...Its just a sore subject for me...I went to work stoned one day and we got a call to a crash on the freeway...Kid was still alive when we got there and his friend was crying...His friend told me the got stoned and were driving to the beach...Kid missed his exit and was lookin at a sign or something and didnt realize he was drifting to the side...He hit a car and they spun...Car got completely fucked and a piece of metal sliced open his abdomen...Kid just stared into my eyes as he died...I never went to work stoned again.....
i dont drive.. if i did i would not ever turn my engine on drunk.. im really really anal about ppl driving safely. i think i would drive in the country and stuff while stoned but anywhere that theres traffic i wouldnt unless it was like a buzz. ive survived till now without driving so i think driving would only make certian things more convenient. im not a person to be too lazy to walk for half an hour to get some good food. i guess im just lucky to live close to the city and to have shops nearby and live near one of the main train stations but some people shit me with their laziness. like people who are willing to spend tonnes of money on cab fares when they could instead take a train or bus and walk a bit
i kno wat u mean psilocybe vibe i kno ppl all have subjects that are sore and learning from ur personal expierience.thx, i will take into account wat u said about drivin
That was the STUPIDEST most IRRESPONSIBLE comment I've ever come across. NEVER EVER EVER DRIVE STONED OR HIGH OR DRUNK OR WHATEVER!!!!!!! I am not a soap box diva, but there are some things that you don't fuck with when you're intoxicated and a thousand pound hunk of metal going 65 miles per hour is one of them. It only takes one lapse in judgement or attention to kill you or someone else. If someone you loved or even someone you didn't know was killed as a result of your intoxicated mistake, you would have to live with the guilt for the rest of your life and it HURTS. It would always be hanging over you. I'm sorry for being a little extreme, but when I saw this thread, I had to respond. It is aimed at every single person in the forums, whether they drive high or not. There is no excuse for it.
PsilocybeVibe, I understand where you're coming from. I had a similar experience except I was the one behind the wheel. I wasn't even high. If I could make that mistake sober, what would have happened had I been high? Now I live with the guilt every day. It took me about a year of therapy, antidepressants and anxiety drugs to get me to where I felt comfortable behind the wheel. I still dream about it and I think about it all the time. Before my accident, driving was fun and it was a game. Now I know that every time I get in the car I put my life and everyone else's on the line. I'm truly sorry about what you experienced. It's good to hear that there are other people who are responsible enough to take proper precautions when it comes to smoking. I was beginning to wonder whether they exist.
Yeah i had bad experiences...WTF was i thinking drivin an ambulance stoned??? I was 19 at the time and thought i was invincible...I still smoke but never will i put mine, my partners, or my patient's lives at risk...
It blows my mind that so many people drive high....and for fun. That is really scary just knowing that the people who posted are out on the roads. I hope all of them are reading this. THIS kinda bullshit thinking is why pot is illegal and it's unfair to those of us who aren't fooling ourselves with the old "pot makes me a more relaxed/safer driver". Whoooo, I'm all riled up now. My blood is absolutely boiling after reading that entire thread.
BREATH Peachy Smile I didnt mean to start a riot...U doin ok??? Im glad there's cool people like u that actually give a shit about this stuff...
Yeah, it made me happy to see your post, but it just all came rushing back at once. it's been a long time since i've discussed anything related to it. If you are an EMT you've seen a lot. You totally understand my feelings, probably moreso than I do. You seem really cool. Especially compared to some of these little stoner kids who don't know what the hell they're talkin about most of the time, which makes me laugh because they are misinformed-we all are at times, but it's just funny.
i recon cars should be illegal actually honestly have they done much good to the world except grow the suitable distance for expansion of urbia into nature, make america have more reason to destroy the world's peace, make people lazier, and increase the expectations on peoples commuting abilities, among a few other wonderful benefits? really, the world would be a better place if the only motor vehicles were for mass transport, or industrial/stock transport...
so what about driving 25 mph through a residental neighoborhood from a park back to my house? Why would anyone go on an express way while stoned. or should i say, I would never
