Hey, i read that book "fear and loathing in las vegas" and dug it....its pretty cool for a book, and i never watched the movie tho, ya' know? and everytime people ask me if i watched it before i say nope, and they look at look at me like im the lamest person in the world and say "WHAT? OMG! you *NEVER* watched that movie????? omg..." i'm like 'ok who cares just a movie god, ill get around to it someday.' i mean, im an impatient person, sometimes i just dont fucking feel like sitting thru a WHOLE 2 hr movie just sitting. haha. but last night, i rented 'fear and loathing' and watched it. and i took 'ihavenoideawhatsgoin' idea and got stoned before i watched. it was awesome! and im glad i read the book before or else i wudnt understand what the fuck was happening. now i always have that 'time is tight' song in my head (u know, that song they play when that police chases him) and i think im in love with "raul duke"
Dude...Can u believe that after watching that movie, my friend and i started using those same cigarette filters for about a month just for laughs? lol people thought we were nuts...I love this movie
i really need to get a copy of that movie, but every store i go into doesnt have it. I've seen almost the whole thing...and i try to read the book, but i always get side tracked, i have a bad time really getting into books. Although it is good for how much i have read (first 40 pages or so)
the part of that movie that has made me laugh the most was the second time i watched the movie stoned, and hes in the nightclub and he goes 'and there is was holy shit there i am! oh clearly the drugs were starting to take hold' ahahahaahah that was so well done. but not as funny after i scrolled the bar back and watched it a few times
I watched that film EVERY morning last summer. At around 2 o clock,Id wake up,stick it in the video player,curl up on the couch and drift into the weirdest dreams ever. Lying on a couch,facing inwards.. is the most comfortable thing ever. Try it.

The book's better than the movie. Also I think either Songs of the Doomed or the Kingdom of Fear are his best books. But he has so many great ones like Hey Rube, the Rum Diaries, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72, and Hell's Angels. Hunter S. Thompson is a legend. R.I.P.
