    so, check this out.

ive come to the conclusion, that, I really dont WANT to work. so Im not going to, unless I feel so compelled to do so. My best friend and I are taking off the rest of life. Ive got all the gear, and were moving to the beach, woods, hills, wherever we end up. I really need nothing more from society. 90% b.s anyway.... leaving from chicago taking greyhound to out west... walking around from there... mostly costal.. weve got the nutrients thing down in perfect balance on $5 a day... burritos.. think about it. all the food groups in one... its godlike... so ya. were taking off and aint comin back... no car.. no walkman or anything just the gear, some cash, and each other. should be a blast...

You're gonna get sick of burritos mighty fast. But I like the idea, sorta planning to do something similar, though I'd be solo.

a thing of tortillas is about a buck 75,, ya have 10,, that leaves ya 3 bucks a day for,, canned taters, canned maters, canned hominy, cabbage heads, eggs, beans, canned fruit etc..

Just about anything can be put in a burrito,, then ya can fry them, bake them,or eat em fresh..
leftover tortillas fried an then sprinkled with sugar an cinnamon are killer zuzus as well..

Once in a great while ya may spend a extra 5 for spices an such,, but yeah man,, 2 people can live large on 5 bucks a day eatin burritos..

No our variable on that is coffee an tea... but still even figurin that in,, 6 or 7 bucks a day ya got it made for two..

I also as a kid had eatten most things in a sandwich of some sort since i was a finnicky lil eatter n was made to eat shit i didnt like n made many a combination through the years.... just simple peanut butter n fresh fruit of some sort and warmed is one of my favorites or pb n j is good too.i like wrapped salads too and rice with absolutely anything is always good n oddly stuffing with fruits n nuts is good warmed in them,,,,

If there are two of you hitch hiking is not as risky. Think of all the folk who travel around just by their selves... Have faith. Things work out.... If you need more help, or advice pm me. I'm doing the same thing pretty quick, although we will have a travel trailer..

you dont buy borritos on 5 bucks a day,, wich me an dilli figured an refigured,, would cost us about 50 bucks a week for the two of us to make it..

an if 2 people cant find a way to earn 50 bucks in a week an still have time to live it an luv it,,,an liv it an luv it while earnin 50 bucks a week,,then they deserve to go back to babylon an "buy" burritos from taco hell...

    TACO BELL RULES

    so do burritos.

ive been eating humus wraps with green and black olives, lettuce, tomato and cheese, you can also add garlic or sweet red peppers or advacados and that makes a totally great meal that keeps me full for hours and hours, actually it could feed you both and then you could make like vegetarian tacos with the left over lettuce and tomatos for the next meal. There are lots of great dried mixes that you can put into burritos at the grocery store lately.

you can make your own burrito wraps too if your staying some where and can use a griddle. you make it from something called instant corn masa mix. most mexican themed grocery stores have it. Look for the goya products and all the bulk bags of rice. it makes corn tortillas, tamales, enchiladas, pupusas, atoles, and other mexican, central, and south american dishes. it comes in a bag like a pound of sugar or and is just corn flour pretty much. i have the bag right here, but i haven't made it yet. but that is how people make home made burritos. that way you can get thicker textures and add flavorings of your own to the burritos, i was thinking maybe onions or the like would be good.

anyway i am planning on camping a lot this fall and want to learn how to make lots of cheap filling foods like this. cause i also dont really want to have a full time job and be tied down to a house and car and spend years of my life mowing the grass. if i can find a better way to do it.

im going to be camping in the white mountains of New Hampshire for a few weeks trying to spend as little money as possible on food and things. I think i would someday like to live in a cabin someplace but need to do so without hunting or fishing. i dont think its wrong to kill animals but it just doesn't make sense to do it when you can buy rice and beans and flour in bulk and eat nuts and mushrooms and other foods like that .

    anyway
    good luck on your trip.
its great to hear that people are being adventurous with their lives and foods. just remember to be creative and eat lots of broccoli, its good steamed with soy sauce and instant rice. really really good
