You really shouldn't remove leaves unless they're stripped of nutrients (yellowing). I see and hear some people do this and the easons are for it have no correct scientific explanation. Some people trim leaf matter thinking the buds need the light, well I can tell you that buds play no part in the photosynthesis of light/food but buds do need this food if they are to grow. If you remove leaf matter your reducing the plants capacity to produce food and in turn reducing yield.

Many a time people complain at harvest time that their buds are light or whispy. On investigation you find they removed leaf matter to get light to the buds. It's your choice what you do with the plant but if removing leaves was a benefit to the plants bud/seed and ultimatly it's reproduction & survival, don't you think through evolution it would be dropping leaves early itself?

The more leaf matter the better the bud. Period.

i don,t reccomend stripping/trimming a plant until you are well into the flowering stage wk5 and then only lightly not down to the bones always leave the upper fans on remember they are needed for photosynthesis food production and transpiring moisture and waste gases(DEAD AND YELLOWING LEAVES SHOULD BE REMOVED THEY DO NOTHING FOR THE PLANT)

I am with Golden Avator, there are "0" benefits from removing leaves period.Like he said,ya cant go wrong with what mother nature has been doing generation after generation since time began.I let leaves fall off on there own.

Only reason to trim healthy leaves is if you are growing banzai style.
Dont try growing MJ bonzai until you have a few years experience.
Otherwise let em fall or turn yellow before plucking them.
