Moore lets this moment go on and on: The president, stone-faced in front of dozens of schoolchildren, doing absolutely nothing, as our nation comes under attack. Hopefully, this scene will take away the "war president" lie. The never-elected punk isn't qualified to referee a cock-fight, much less lead the world in a war against Al Qaeda.
How does Bush's reaction to 9/11 have anything to do with the country being at war? After all, Bush is too busy playing golf and going on extended vacations to actually run the country right? Besisdes, it's not Bush who runs the war or the manhunts, it's the generals and CIA (respectively). Are you telling me that Bush is right now at the Pentagon heading a team of researchers processing information from special ops forces in Afganistan? No, he's not. That's up to the CIA director. All Bush does is say "Here's some money, find me Osama" and "Here's a Congressional thumbs-up to go to war, so go fight a war" to whoever actually does the work, and the work gets done. For some reason people think that Bush's ability as a leader somehow reflects upon Amerca's ability as a nation, and it dosen't.
The evidence showing that Bush had arranged the 9/11 attack was overwhelming. Moore presents so many facts that I learned a few new ones. It was a mind scramble of information. I think Moore is right on the money. The poor here were swindled into attacking the poor in Iraq WHO HAD NOTHING TO WITH THE 9/11 ATTACK. Moore backs up what he says. One of the things that amazed me is that the Saudis own about 6% of America. And of course, noone should be asking "what are they hiding?" when faced with repeated and well documented cases of administration stonewalling of investigations as well as repeated attempts to deny the formation of a truly public and judicial enquiry into the numerous inconsistencies in the 9/11 coverstory (which btw the 9/11 does NOT represent given its extremely limited investigative remit). I truly would love to see what these same right wingers would be screaming for if this came down on Clinton's watch. You can bet there would have been a state injunction forbidding the elimination of the rubble of the WTC until a full forensic examination of the supposedly "melted" steel girders (depsite numerous technical assesments explaining that jet fuel cannot reach anywhere near the temperature necessary to melt steel) had been conducted. But the truth of any issue is of no interest to the right wing, only the continuation of their preferred Party (regardless of its repeated documented lies and conflicts of office).
I personally think that accusing Bush of arranging 9/11 is stupid. It helped his cause sure, no one can deny that, but to say he arranged it is just sensationalist bullcrap. How about a reliable source besided "Bushwatch" and some real evidence?
Was any "real" evidence ever presented to the public proving OBL was behind it? No friend, what WAS provided were convenient "finds" coming just at moments of the most intense pressure on this administration and under the most suspect circumstances and which were never put through any forensic verification process. The ethos was established and repeated so often by the range of print and broadcast media that most just came to accept it as the only filter through which all further claims had to pass. When evidence has been demanded of this administration, time and again we have clearly seen refusal after refusal under the age old cloak of "national security" (the same cloak Reagan used to hinder probes into Iran-Contra (which eventually proved to in fact be criminal conspiracy to circumvent Congressional authority) and indeed even Watergate, which brought down the Nixon admin). What the ideologues disingenuously refuse to acknowledge is that the victims of 9/11 have to date not received the full, transparent and judicial investigation into all the inconsistencies in the coverstory that they are at the very least owed. Instead they were within the days made into the platform sought by PNAC to roll out its agenda of perpetual war which has so fattened the coffers of our military industrial coffers as never before. Yet the Fox News junkies prefer to wave their flags and close their eyes and call any demand for a TRUE investigation "unpatriotic". Again i reitierate that if this had occurred on Clinton's watch these same would undoubtedly be howling for an investigation that left no rock unturned (as they were so virulent in pursuing over something as irrelevant as a mutual consenting sexual encounter). Hypocrits the lot of them.
Personally, in my humble opinion, I think "Maxpowers" is a complete fucking moron who criticizes without presenting any facts to back up what he says.
