Wow cool tread it made me actually think cos i like both bands but i just had to pick the sex Pistols​

The Ramones SUCK.

 

I choose Sex Pistols but i don't like either of them a whole lot.

The Ramones were the first, lasted the longest and IMHO were the better of the two; I'll take "subterranean jungle" over "never mind the bullocks" any day of the week!

 

"Bodies" has the best line in all of rock-n-roll, though. ("Fuck this and fuck that, fuck it all and fuck the fucking brat...")

And yes, I crank it (and then crank "animal boy"! )

 

I voted Sex Pistols. They are definitely cooler, although I've never listened to them much... I used to listen Ramones a lot, but that was almost 4 years ago, when I was with my first boyfriend. He loved them.

they both have some decent songs. the kkk took my baby away and anarchy in the uk come to mind.

 

I loved 'I wanna be sedated' 4 years ago... It still makes me smile when I hear it.

actually the sex pistols were better musicians than the ramones, i know this because im in a band that plays sex pistols songs and ramones songs, the drumming in the pistols was much much more complicated and advanced, same with the chord structures. it's not true that the sex pistols only knew three chords, listen to "submission" or "anarchy in the u.k." and tell me those songs only have three chords. but one of the ways that theyre connected, at least in my mind, is i hate all the members of each band except for the lead singer. all the ramones were dickheads except for johnny, and all the pistols sucked except for their johnny.

but anyway "who rocked harder" is a bad question, "who do you like better" is the better question.

 

i saw joey ramone drum for the newfits. the whole band was really, really coked out.
