and if so, what is the music you play? the band im in plays lots of blues and classic rock like stevie ray and zeppelin with some floyd in there too.
I was in one...we only practiced a couple of times though...and from those couple of practices I'm going to assume that our sound was somewhere along the lines of anarchist punk...it was horrible though...hence why I said I "WAS" in a band...

im in a band that plays Guns 'n roses Arrow Smith Prince, any of that late 70s early 80s cock rock crap that i hate. Most of the band members in the past left because of the music they played...theyve gone through like 5 drummers...im staying cause the lead singer is my best friend, but its kind of annoying when i suggest we play a grateful dead or phish song (or anything that isnt all about sex drugs and alcohol) and they quickly reply "no" like its a reflex. The guitarist calls that kind of music "pussy music". I guess hell just have to wait and see the hard way for himself that kids dont like that kind of heavy rock anymore.
was in a band called going comando, didnt really work out though, all we did was just chill and jam, never wrote down anything... i would love to start a ska band though, to go around play small venues for fun and watch people skank to my tunes, damn thatd be cool.
Well, find some like-minded players, jedi, because there isn't much that's better than seeing people shwang to your groove. It's teh shyte. We play a fair amount of Grateful Dead. Lessee... CS&N, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Van tha Man, various blues tunes. The rest can be considered 'classic' R n R. We don't play any new music cuz we be old feckers.:H
I've been a musician all of my life. I formed my first band in the late 70's. I've played professionally as a drummer, vocalist and a guitarist. My last band Grantham was set to reform, when we finally got the original line up together, two people left. We do all originals - High energy rock... We need a drummer. In the meantime. I am recording a disc of my own stuff. I have one recorded, just not mastered. Maybe I'll get off my ass and do that too.
