when hotboxing a bathroom, why do i always hear to turn the shower on? i think it has something to do with keeping the smoke low in the room or somethin like that....

Yes, the shower generates tiny water particles in the air and the smoke particles get stuck to the mist.

I don't know exactly how effective this is, but it can't hurt.

It helps, I smoke in my bathroom alot, before I take a shower, when I come out what little smell/smoke that was in there is gone. Turn on the fan also, if the the thing about the particles getting stuck to the mist is true then the fan that sucks the mist/steam will carry it all out.

Does any smoke escape? I odnt really like smoking out my window so would this be a good alternative? Also would it help alot if you opened a window?

no one calls that a "Hawaiian hotbox"? :p

hawaiian hotboxes are good, but can get fucking so nasty if the house has a huge water tank, because if u are getting hot water through the whole session, you are soaked in sweat when your done

I think when you run the shower, the steam from the hot water fills the air and any smoke particles will stick to the steam, then eventually the mist will fall to the ground taking the smoke with it and dry up leaving no smell. An open window also helps to suck a lot of steam/smoke out.

Wouldnt bringing the smoke down to the floor bring resin too? Cuz that stuff smells.

i doubt enough resin would build up to make a noticable diference.

I don't mind smoking out of my windown. i put a fan on the windowstill and blow the smoke through that, out the window. works well, except in winter. since the whole air pressure and temperature crap, the smoke is actually forced back into the room w/ the cold air.

and wouldn't the water vapor condense on cold surfaces, like mirrors and metal? didn't think of that one, eh?

your right, the smell could stick to cold surfaces but it would stay there, so its impossible to smell

It doesnt smell, I've smoked in my bathroom alot and there is not any kind of residue in there. As of an alternative to blowing smoke out your window I dont know, depends if the fan that sucks out the steam/smell leads out of your house or distributes the smell into other rooms.

i've thought of smoking into the suction fan on the ceiling of my bathroom, but am worried the smoke will be blow elsewhere in the house...

Check it, mine goes out side, burn a small peice of paper (like an inch long or shorter) and hold it to the fan, as soon as it is done, run all through your house and check for the scent in rooms, if you can't smell it than it leads out of your house. It wouldnt make sense for it to lead in, who would want the smell of shit in their room?

yeah i have one but still. I love it when I'm in environments where i dont have to worry about blowing it in certain directions. Which is why i prefer outside, but i like cmokin inside better. I've only done that once in my room when my parents were gone for the night. That was cool as shit. But yeah. Sorry for gettin off subject.
