buddy icons

I've recently developed a passionate interest in designing animated icons... it took me a few days to get the hang of it, but I managed to make an icon for one of my favorite bands, Traffic. I'd love to get some more practice, especially in a functional way, so I'm taking requests. Give me topics, and I'll make icons for some of them.

Will that file size work on AIM?
(I didn't check it...just asking.)
I make AIM icons, too...
But, yours is made very well.
What program do you use...and where did you get it?

 

You wouldn't happen to be able to make animated icons from video files, right? Because I would be VERY grateful if you could make a smooth icon of the first few seconds of the videoclip for Mother North from Satyricon, displaying Satyr destroying a wooden cross with a large battle axe.

 

This is the original verison of the icon, and at 52k it was wayy to big for me to use on AIM. I had to strip it down dramatically, but of course I'd show the better version . I use Photoshop Elements 2.0, which came with my tablet when I ordered it... what do you use?

 

I don't think I could do actual video in the icon, but if you send me the clip, I might be able to take certain frames and make them into a pretty good imitation of animation for your icon. My email is seeded_watermelon@yahoo.com if you'd like me to give it a shot.

No, I didn't mean a video IN the animation, I meant a .gif animation of part of the video. If you succeed, my eternal gratitude. If not, no problem.

I hope you have enough space for 10.1 mB, which is crappy quality but the 40 mB version would probably fit in nobody's inbox

Can you send images or gifs in IM? I have AOL ... is there way to send pictures to someone I'm sending IMs to? Does it take special software? I have looked through the AOL help files and can't seem to find it.
