2 shy questions about this section

Hallo everyone,
I am beginner crafter and I plan to visit this section often to see what my "collegues" ( ) have done. However, I had 2 questions about 'Fashion & Craft' for a long time and now, I decided I can't live with them more.
The first one is, that I can't understand why don't have your tops becks. I mean they have front side but in the back side they are just bent. Is it because of economy of fabric, or maybe because it's summer and it's too hot.. or maybe it's in fashion now?
the second one is.. I just wanted to know.. if I don't like someone's creation may I tell her/him what I don't like in it or it's better to stay quiet?

huh? I'm not understanding what is "tops becks" are you asking about the back of the tops?....

Critiqueing someone else's work: I think most ppl. post here bc/s they want to share their piece not because they want to be slammed bc/s someone doesn't like the style or would have done something differently. Just me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. However, if they ask for a critique then offer it.

So, don't be afraid to post bc/s you won't get flammed.

You know, I always tell friends not to tell me if they don't like what I do. However, some ppl tend to be critiqued by others. So, you are right. unless they ask my opinion I shouldn't write if I dislike.

just be light about it; some people here are more sensitive than others, and be prepared to deal with upset people if you come off as 'too harsh.' some people love a good critique, i know i would, and i always appreciate it when people have the guts to tell me the truth.
Lots of the tops don't have backs here because it's just a style. It's pretty easy to make, and looks good on the female body (at least, most of the time!) But I agree, closed-back shirts are nice, and I'd love to see some of them posted.

 

If I dont overly like something someone has made I just dont post in that thread... If they ask what you think.. your more than welcome (i think) to tell them you dont like it... But dont be harsh... Be polite about... Explaine what you might have done differently.. and I think that if you are gonna say something you dont like you should also point out some of the things you do like..

This is a nice forum.. we are almost always nice to eachother here (unlike the rest of the forum) We always try to be supportinve of eachothers projects

An Backless is the style... I like it... i find them soooo comfy... i have a few shirts with backs but i like backless better :0

Yeah, I think open back tops is a style posted often, but closed backs are cool. I really like the old style apron dresses that looked like aprons that wraped around and tied in the front, they are made to wear shirts under and I don't think anyones posted one of those. I think there's lots of room for variety and pretty much anything you make and post will be apreciated here.
