Well, I leave today to go to Amsterdam. I will be staying at the Victoria Hotel. Anyone have any advice on which coffee shops to hit, and certain types of weed to try?
YA, try it all!!!! Just walk around and you will find coffee shops all over. Once you find a coffee shop, most of them have the "coffe shop map" in them. So pick up a map and you will see all of the good coffee shops on there! Have fun!!! (By the way, if you are staying there for awhile I would suggest staying in a hostel because you can meet alot of cool people and it's only like $30 a night!!!!!! - hotels are just too expensive there!)
wow!!!!!!! yer so lucky! how much did u pay to go on it? so i can know how much money to save up! and dmgreen, good advice about the hostels....ill do that when i go there. but wuts the difference??
in hostels u don't get ur own room, like everybody sleeps in one big room. and u have to share bathroom/s. i'm not too sure but i think they make men and women sleep in seperate rooms.
That's not too bad. I would be out partying all the time anyway. Plus it doesnt really matter how comfortable the beds are cuz you can just pass out.
Naw. You don't have to stay in a dorm style hostel -- most of them have 2 people or 4 people rooms for groups. Me and my girlfriend went and stayed at the Bulldog our first time there in a private room. It was about 70 euro a night.. so that's like 35 a person. But you can totally find better I'm sure. As far as coffee shops, my personal favs where: Grey Area, The Soft Temple, Abraxix, the Green House and.. well, damn, there's a lot of good ones HAVE A BLAST!
Visit the Amsterdam forum on here for some real good info about weed & coffeeshops.. especially NEMISIS has good info! Have fun!.. Oh.. and remember: just because you can buy weed legally in the Netherlands, that doesn't mean it's allowed to smoke it just anywhere! About types of weed.. latest weed I smoked was 'high rise haze', pretty strong stuff.. but then again.. I've seen many experienced smokers caught by surprise from the strongness of the weed here.. so.. be carefull, start out easily. Locals are used to it.. you might not. Oh.. other heads up: here a 'joint' is a weed/tobacco mix...
