considering the cult status you'd think he'd lap it up, but the same thing holds true for the woman who played ginger from gilligans island
the number 4711 is tatooed on Curry in the movie (you see it in the pool) how's that for trivia? Any shocktreatment fans?
Whats really cool is watching it at this old theater in hollywood....Everybody goes to the movie dressed up, which is nuts in itself. But once everybody sits down at this place, the REAL show begins. The movie is played but with a little twist. There are "castmembers" dressed as the characters in the movie and they act out the movie in the aisles. And at random seats, they place people that "yell at the movie"...Sorta putting out an aura of a rowdy movie theater....It's a real trip...
Didn't he turn into some right-winger family-values type? I remember seeing an interview on VH1 where he never watched the movie, called it "shameful" and "wrong."
Every where that shows Rocky Horror does that! It's not at all unique to Hollywood! I believe the tradition started in London and New York, but even small towns across the US have such midnight showings where the local freaks crawl out of the wood works.. it's like the last haven for Weird in modern America.
i have loved rocky horror since i was really little, but i recently showed it to two of my friends and now they are overly obsessed about it. it is kinda annoying, but the movie still remains one of the best ever!
Credit must also be given to the wonderful voice of the narrator, Charles Gray, a renowned thespian and a formidable Bond villain (The Spy Who Loved Me)((or was that Ted Heath?)). The only other actor who could swivel his eyebrows with such antici...pation is Roger Moore. And since Charles Gray has passed on to better pastures, "I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey..."
I think i am gonna get my sister the audience partici--(say it, say it) pation CD....she hasnt ever been and she should go....
im not being bitter...i dont really care if my friends like it or not. its just annoying when all they talk about, care about, and dress like (which is a little strange when they come to school.) is rocky horror.
YESS!!! yesss tom i love you rocky horror is the fucking greatest AND riff raff is fucking awesome i have the biggest crush on him, i swear
Haha, midnight madness, what a bunch of weirdos... I love it =D I was supposed to see the Rich Weirdoes when I went to Orlando, but they weren't playing it that weekend, so we watched it on TV with a small group and they yelled it all out for my entertainment, so I kinda lost my virginity... A Lot of the shock value in RHPS has worn off over the years, but thats what the audience participation is for, there's always a few people making up new jokes and changing things up a bit, right? Time Warp is fucking catchy...
I live in a hunting lodge for rich weirdo's LOL Speaking of Midnight Madness.... That is an excellent cult movie! Remember it with a young michael j fox and all the teams that had there own team color doing the "scavenger hunt" style race! Leon ran the strategy board out of his apartment, paps blue ribbon beer tour with dive into the tank!!!! great movie
