I'm a return-to-school student. I'm changing careers and am going into nursing. I'm at Pasadena City College in Southern California. I recommend junior colleges for pre-requisites if finances are an issue. Education can still be affordable. Life can still be good
Suny Brockport. The open parties suck because they always get broken up too fast, but it rocks if you know people with apartments. Partying on campus is hard to get away with too, but there are a lot of good places to smoke.
just graduated from the university of michigan piece of paper just came in the mail, diploma or something i just looked at it and nothing of school learning came to mind it was only the time spent between courses and papers and tests which meant anything to me, and that part of life didnt cost a physical cent
Yeah they should give you more than a piece of paper when you graduate...maybe like...a hall named after you or something! *giggles*
nah no halls, maybe let you give a quote or a few words or something and place this on some public place on their campus. the piece of paper they give you should say you don't need this a bit to tell you who you are or what you know and nobody in the world needs this paper in order to reach their dreams but i think that'd be bad for business. university in general has a lot to offer, and can be very open minded, but in many ways because it is still within the paradigm of an 'educational institution' , its stuck within itself.
I'm starting Bryn Mawr College on August 29th...the "Seven Sisters" schools are ridiculously expensive and not known for their "hipness," but I'm excited about living and studying with a bunch of really intelligent and (hopefully, purported to be) very open-minded women. Anyone else in SE Pennsylvania?
ThisBirdHasFlown, What college (Livingston, Mason Gross, etc.) are you going to? My mum got her library science degree from Rutgers last year...New Brunswick can be a very fun place. Awesome music scene, according to my friends at Mason Gross. Peace~ Sarah
university of saskatchewan most imaginative name ever it's decent though. very pretty, good agriculture, engineering and commerce colleges. Poor arts and sciences is dying though.
