interested in changing

Sry, if I'm in the wrong place. But I'm trying 2 find something cool to do 2 my hair. Dying is 2 much of a hassle since my hair is almost black and dreads r a no b/c my mom is the immoveable rock. Any ideas or advice? I was also thinking about corn rows but really hav no clue.

 

Cornrows don't really last that long.... get a haircut and dye it. Even though your hair is black that doesn't mean you can't dye it. I have dark brown- almost black hair and once I dyed it red!

 

i've heard that having cornrows in for too long can cause your hair to fall out a little bit later, becuase of the strain it puts on your scalp.....don't know if that's true or not ~ just something i've heard.
what about a pixie cut? they are easy to care for and look cute on just about everyone~

 

hmmm i would say go for a short pixie do...or maybe a chelsea cut...ral short with bangs...soooo cute

 

Dying isn't a hassle. I have really dark hair, too.

Bleach streaks in and do a funky color. Or two or three colors. It'll look really cool against the black. Or bleach the top layers of your hair and leave the rest black.

Or do microbraids.

Or get it cut. I personally love short, spiky, teased Robert Smith-esque hair.

Thanks for the replies, I've now can dye my hair but has anyone very done it with out bleaching? I've read that if you use a dark color dye, like purple it will still show up in dark hair.

 

an old girlfriend had dark hair and streaked it purple and it showed up, looked good.

 

Thanks, I'll try that. But my mom might end up taking me 2 the hairdressers for extention or something, yuk! It's twice as much and triple the hassle.
