firstly do you havea big issue in america ? a few of us have got together and started a food drop as we call it ,forthe big issue sellers in our area , we make the food our selves and rely on donations. now we are looking to widen our help and want to open a kind of free cafe where any one needing help or advice ,or maybe just a brew and a hot meal can come and chill out have a chat and make someamazing friends .we are just a bit stuck as to where to go from here and would welcomeany advice..........we have been doing this now for about a year and its just brill.......the way i see it is this .everybody must have someone living near them who either lives alone without family or is elderly and alone or maybe someone experiencing hard times........if everybody just took a little time out each day to maybe visit an elderly neighbour or whatever and maybe offer a helping hand what a brighter happier world we would be living in!!CARING is free LOVING is free HUGSare free too and there damn good LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS YOU EXPECT TO BE LOVED
Thumbs up to all of you wonderful people who are so caring enough to look out for the needs of others..we need more of this in society. Here in Canada we have food banks for people on low incomes. These are run by volunteers in the communities and they rely on donations from the major food corporations and monetary donations which is very little. We also have what we call soup kitchens where the underprivileged can get a free meal. At Christmas time we have what is called the Christmas cheer board.....they pass out food hampers that contain a large turkey with enough for a nice xmas dinner and gifts for the children. In the winter we also have shelters for the homeless(gets pretty cold here in Winnipeg in the winter) sometimes 39below in celsius. But this is still not enough. I think the majority of all government monies goes to other countries(which i don't condemn) but I feel we need to look after our people first and then we can be in a better position to help others.
