Does anybody here like String Art? I find it absolutely amazing, espescially when made with flourescent strings and viewed under UV light. I haven't seen this form of art anywhere apart as decoration on psytrance parties/festivals. It creates a magical atmosphere and I think it deserves more attention. Here are a few examples, taken from these web-sites: Protoart Analogia Also check this little video: muthaship . Beautiful!

Hey, Moon Water and flmkpr glad you like it. To view the little video you need to have QuickTime Player installed. You can download the player for free here: QuickTime Player. The video shows a moving string art installation, but is very short, so maybe you don't want to bother.
Yea man they really do add a fantastic atmosphere to raves. I'd love to get into designing and creating decorations for festivals and parties when i grow up
ahh didnt download the quick time but just the still photos are inspiring might just pick it back up as a nice quiet hobby! thanks!
I LOVE STRING ART!!! I've always wanted to ask the people throwing raves if I can just have a couple to bring home and space out on them! Great pictures! - thanks for sharing!
I never really saw it at raves, but I haven't been to one in a long long while.. however I've seen it often at psy/goa gatherins. the geometric intricacies are beautiful. They're like sacred geometry, and the UV glow blows them to an omni-dimensional land. There is some connection between geometry and psy/goa, though what it is, I can only say for me, but it must be for other people based on these always showing up. thanks for the great post.
my friend kate did a landscap made from string and perspex which was suspended! looked relaly cool, each knot was a code for a mark in the land
