i seriously think saw was one of the worst movies to come out recently [well not recently, but like, over the past year]...with exception to all the haunted house type movies, those are just trying to ride off the success of the ring, which is also bad...
movie sequels are dumb though...it is just going to be a re-hash of the same ideas, but slightly differenttrying to prophit on the firsts success.... i mean, they had the idea to do a sequel [after the first did so well] in november 2004... i mean, was their a plot to the movie? simple answer, no, there wasnt...
I really enjoyed saw, there were moments when i pulled this face , like when he catches the pawn in his office and doesnt shoot him, he had far too much time to pull a move and get away. Most of it was more like . Not bad for film shot in three days anyway.
it was shot in way more than three days ...the bathroom [carey elwaes and wahts his nuts] scenes took six days... *From IMDB* Shot in 18 days. All of the bathroom scenes were shot in six days Film's pre-production was only five days. also, the writer of saw isnt writing saw2 [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432348/ ], so i doubt it wil have the same type of effect...also, saw2 was conceived i think like the week after it opened cause it brought in the big bucks...i highly doubt it wil advance the story, thats why i dont like sequels, series are good, but sequels are not...
i <3 imdb. I surprisingly enjoyed saw. I would not see the sequel though. I don't really think there is anywhere else to go with it. When the girl is the nutty head thing had to cut the key out of the live guy's stomach i just about threw up.
speaking of the reverse bear trap thing, i dont really get how that is "not acctually killing his victims" as the cops describe it...no, that is killing someone im afraid [although he didnt succed]... its like trying to say shooting someone isnt killing them, cause they just got in the way of the bullet...
burbot, i dont know how you couldnt give saw a littile credit i mean the plot was a lot better then most newer horror movies and definitly was one of the best of the year i wasnt happy with the acting tho other then that i didnt realy see to much wronge with it
Oh i see, should have done a little research instead of running with the rumours, still 18 days! Think you may be right about the sequal, i'll wait until one of friends downloads rather than paying loads for the cinema.
saw had a great concept but they didnt utilize it to the best of its ability.. id probably rent the second one...
they decided to amke a sequel right about the time it was released [well soon after it was] because of the response it got...this was november 2004, and then they even said probobly released for haloween 2005... this isnt really that new stuff, if you keep an ear to the door
saw was good in the theaters but thats cuz well louder sounds bigger screen but when i rented it it was horrible and not scary at all no one i watched it with thought it was scary
I absolutly loved that movie. One of the best scary movies (in my opinion) that has come out in awhile. My friend and I have seen it maybe 4 times? She finally went out and bought it, I just need money. Haha...
The story is rather innovative I think. The acting and script ... a child could have written a better screenplay I think. I am seeing the second one because a friend from work is making me go with her to see it when it is released. The things us guys do for women!
I loved Saw. Granted, it wasn't the greatest horror movie ever made, but compared to some of the other tripe that was out in the theatres (Boogeyman anyone?), it was a damn fine film. I look forward to seeing the second one. Danny Glover is weird, Ganja_Goo
i thought saw was the best horror film in the past few years, when you compare it to highway man, bogeyman etc it seems very original.
