i told my friend that he needs to go get checked for an std, because i learned that a girl he slept with mite have herpes..

but what i failed to realize was that it is my friends bday today..

and hes a good guy and actually it was his first girl having sex with ...and hes 21, well 22 today but 21 when he lost his virginity..

Um, welll sucks to break the news on his birthday, but thats not the kinda news you should keep from someone.

-so that means 2 people lost their virginity and got cases of herpes..

out of all the stds one could possibly get, herpes has by far the least amout of health consequences. cold sores and chicken pox are also herpes strain and really all he'll have to worry about is bumps on his genitals during certian times of the year, and possibly giving other people bumps on their genitals during a certian time of year. the only reason why herpes is considered far worse than cold sores is because of the stigma we've associated with genitals being dirty and unclean...in relative terms id rathe have genital herpes than cold sores...they're the same thing but at least with herpes all you have to worry about is your lover seeing them and transfering them only when your having sex.....but with cold sores you have to worry about the whole world seeing them, and transfering them anytime you kiss, or share a drink, or share a ciggarette or joint.
