Seriously, dude, why do self-centered immature inconsiderate people cheat -- males are just as prone to it as females are. And, well, I think I just answered why certain people cheat -- cuz they care more about themselves than they do about anyone else, cuz they're too immature to think before acting, cuz they're assholes, or cuz they are so insecure that they think that getting attention from more than just one person will mean that they are good enuf or pretty enuf or whatever. People are fucked up.
I think that it's only cheating if it's dishonest. Like, my husband is allowed to sleep with other girls as long as I know them and as long as they're clean and I tell him I don't mind. He at least has to be honest afterwards if it's something that wasn't planned, like he got drunk or something. We're in an open relationship and I'm not the jealous type. But I won't sleep with another guy for the simple fact he's the only guy I've been with and I don't want that to change.

We talking about married or not married? If there isn't a marriage or engagement then it's not cheating no matter how you look at it. Just because people sleep together, without being married, doesn't mean it's automatically a monogamous relationship these days. If you want monogamy then ask them to marry you, otherwise accept the consequences of the situation you chose to put yourself in.
