I'm currently drunk so I probably shouldn't be typing anything, let alone something about me...

Well I'm new. You knew that. LOL. I'm kind of lost. I don't exactly know where I'm going or what I'm doing... I just am.
I have a job & I'm a college student. I currently live in Tampa & I'm a single, 23 year old male. I drink but I'm a happy drunk. However I'm not an alcoholic... By now you're saying, "Sure your not..." I define an alcoholic as someone who has lost hope to the point that only alcohol makes life bareable. They loose themselves in it & forget day to day life. Quit their jobs, and basically just drink... I get up every morning and go to work (though it's against my will). As I said I'm a college student and I have a 4.0 GPA which I work rather hard at keeping.
As I said I don't know what I want out of life just yet... I recently got out of a relationship that was 8 years in the making. I was young & in love. And no, I wouldn't change a second of the entire 8 years we had together... I learned a lot as I'm sure she did. It was something that had to be done & we're still really great friends. (That makes me sound gay... LOL) Yeah... I'm drunk. Which you're probably reading this and thinking, wow, what great grammar for a drunk guy. I can do three things exceptionally well when I'm drunk... Type, Draw, & Be funny... There are actually a few others as well but I'm not going to mention them here.

Oh, and take care of that liver of yours. Give yourself at least two full "dry days" a week. Drinking without any food in your stomach also causes bleeding inside the stomach, so make sure you have some munchies first.

Enough of my lecture? Yeah, I thought so, too. LOL

not sayin anything..just thoseare the facts..so yur arguments as to why your not 1 arent valid..theres specific symtoms for bein 1..& quittin your job ismnt 1..just food for thought

Well I'm sober now. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Thank you for the info Alt. I'll keep that in mind. For the record SoaringEagle, I'm familiar with alcoholism. While I haven't fallen victim personally, I know many who have. I also realize it's actually easier for me to cross that line just by drinking regularly. I feel it is that knowledge alone that's kept me safe thus far & enabled me to continue as far as I have. Though, thank you for your insight.
Again, thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Aside: One of the smartest guys I knew, and one with the highest GPAs (very cool personality too) smoked pot daily. He aced the MCAT and is a MD somewhere now. I would definately trust him as my doctor!!!

about 17 yrs ago I could flunk that silly little test from AA. Course it was silly cuz I could quit drinking cold turkey every time I got pregnant, and I still have a glass of beer every now & then.
