I agree, the first movie and book were different!!! I hope it is more like the book and I think it looks good but I also really really like ODD movies so.................
haha it's funny how everyone on here rides johnny's dick for Fear and loathing, but u guys cant think he can pull off willy wonka
I thought Burtons one fuck up was Planet of the Apes. I'm not sure that this movie should be remade. I can't see much being added really. Its kind of like remaking the Shining. Still, I'm sure I'll see it on pay per view in a few months. I like Johnny Depp but I think he has made a few missteps too, like Secret Window.
OF COURSE! Such a forgettable film. Total scheidt it was. And the trick ending's a joke because it's impossible.
Im a big depp fan and a big Willy Wonka fan...so lets hope this all pulls together for me. Def on my must see list.
I still want my money back for seeing planet of the apes, and I've been really creeped out by how wonka's being portrayed by depp in the trailers, but I'm just gonna have to hope for the best on this one, both depp and burton have too many impressive movies backing them up for me to just write it off as a lost cause without seeing it first
i agree that wilder was better as Wonka. but.. this new movie is not intended to be compared to the 'original'...plus they don't even share the same title. i thought it was alright, and it entertained me, i recommend burning one and checking it out....
"Tim Burton is a proven excellent director. Can't remember seeing any fuckups he's made. For everything there is a first time though." :::cough cough "PLANET OF THE APES" cough cough::: "umm are u ppl stupid?" The answer is in the question with this one. For the record, the word "you" has 3 letters, not one and "people" has 6, not 3. Stupid.
was watching young frankenstein again the other weekend and it finally dawned on me that the monster was played by the dad from everybody loves raymond
I loved the movie, I viewed as a tripping movie... and had fun with that he licks a mushroom in the beginning, all the smiling faces, dance sequences...... groovvvyyy.. thats just me though.
and if wonka is supposed to be portrait as a insane dude that has trouble letting go of the past.... depp does a good job imo.
i have definetly seen Charlie and the chocolate factory 5 times lol with diffrent people that movie is AWSOME i definetly think everything should see it its even better when your high
yea i saw charlie and the chocolate factory twice in two days, and i love that fricken movie, its soooooo crazy. its amazing! i definatly recomanded it!! Lisa
Johnny Depp (gurgling noises like Homer Simpson) Don't argue with womyn about Depp. OMG. I haven't see Chocolate Factory yet (but 3 of my kids have and love it) but Depp is a damn good actor, and probably one of the sexiest (if not THE sexiest) men in Hollywood. And he makes many good indies as well. Ahhhhhhh Depp............................................Oh my. Ah. Well, in the book, he is like this. DId you READ the book? (It took me just over an hour to read it from cover to cover the first time.) I just finished the book again, read it to my 5 year old. Where did you get that Wonka is from Eastern Europe? There was nothing in the book to point to that. In fact, today, we will probably go to the bookstore and buy The Great Glass Elevator to read to Sage, my little one.
