I know most of you will laugh and make fun and you can if you want... but when i loved in MO in my grandma's old house there were ghosts (haha shut up there were)
Like we'd hear noises and doors slam...
My grandma each halloween would set this witch thing out on the porch with a radio playing a scary tape and such, well it was the next day and it was going off cause we heard it in the house and we walked out and it wasnt plugged in (i know i know, but its true)
Also my grandma told me that once she was washing dishes and she saw a little girl in the backyard yelling for her mommy and when she went out there she was gone.
    and other odd things..
they moved and sold the house to people who have people come and stay there or something...

here's one I posted a while ago, had to cut/paste:

I was staying with my then girlfirend at a hotel on Coronado Island off the coast of San Diego. The room was in a newer building but only 20 or 30 feet from the infamous Hotel Del Coronado, a beautiful and notorious victorian resort that is probably 150 years old. At the timne I had no idea of its history, and had never even heard of it.

We arrived at the hotel and a maintenance guy was in the room trying to fix the bathroom light. "no matter what I do, this light will not stay on," he said and I thought nothing of it.

Maybe an hour later I laid down for a nap and dreamt that I couldn't breathe, I woke up gasping like something had been on top of me. I fell aslppe again and the exact same thing happened. I had never experienced this particular feeling before or since.

Later that evening the channels started flipping around randomly on the tv, I started to feel a little creeped out but didn't think a whole lot of it at the time.

During the late night hours my girlfriend and I watched the rather poor movie "the Beach" in the bedroom, as soon as I turned off the tv, the other tv down the hall 15 feet and in the living room turned on suddenly. I got up (naked) abnd started to walk into the room, as soon as I got within 6 or 7 feet of it all of the hair on my body stood up like had never happened before, it was like walking into a very intense electrical field. As I looked at the tv I noticed it was showing a childs crayon drawing of a human figure laying down with red blood coming out of its head, a public service message showing pictures drawn by kids in abusive homes. I turned the tv off and ran back to the bedroom.

In the middle of the night my girlfriend awoke with the same dream of being pressed down and not being able to breath.

At precisely 9 am the fire alarm went off ony once and woke us with a start.

Feeling kind of creeped out I ended up taking the train back up to Los Angeles that day.

When i got back the real creepiness really hit me when I did some research on the internet.

It seems that many guests at the hotel del coronado have experienced the feelings of constriction and electrical problems on the grounds that cannot seem to be fixed, as well as many tv related things have been reported.

During the latter part of the 19th century a woman with the last name Morgan had checked into the hotel. She seemed very ill and kept wating for her estranged husband to arrive. A few days later she was found shot in the head on the hotel grounds. It was suspiciously ruled a suicide although the evidence all pointed to her husband showing up and shooting her. The electrical irregularities include an electric lamp by where the body was discovered that "will not stay lit."

THis woman was allegedly "won in a poker game" by her hussband, and had travelled around ripping people off with him for years afterwards.

The creepiest part to me was what I saw on the television, the childs drawing of someone laying on the ground with blood coming out of the head...seemed she was trying to show me something.

To me, it seems that I had a run in with one of the most famous ghosts in America, a well documented haunting that I had never heard a thing about.

I thought it kind of made sense that she let herself be known to us, as we were a young couple roughly the same age as she was when she died.

I believe in them. This one time, my friend was sleeping over, and I went upstairs to grab cds, and I heard my name, natually, I thought it was her, but then I heard whispers. I went back downstairs, and she was freaking out, because she had heard her name, and thought it was me.
Also, another of my friend's houses is haunted, really creepy stuff...

Ghosts are just people living in different time periods. When we see ghosts, we can momentarily see across time, and briefly peek into another time period. Nothin spooky. Jus our awareness sometimes changes and shifts into different planes.

    My theory, anyway.

Well, I'm sure - I know - that a lot of other people kinda see ghosts (or spirits) the same way as I do. I mean, not really transparent versions of what they were like alive, trying to scare you, and visible to anyone... I think that first of all, the ability to sense, or even see spirits is a gift that not everyone has, but also I don't think that souls keep a human image once in the next world... and, I don't think it's possible to see spirits - or even hear them - at all outside of dreams or meditation - once they've reached a plane - or level - in the universe (and another dimension) that is too "high" for us to sense, being in the material world.

I'm medium and clairvoyant (a tiny bit), and I've experienced things... but it's hard for me to explain... I don't know if everyone can understand me...

That is a pretty interesting theory... I'm agnostic though, even tho I've experienced spooky things.
