I think we should try and get together and hold one, a sort of like a live 8 but everwhere. no reason but peace. i think if we try and start peace protests in every major city. Anyone near Atlantic City, New Jersey up to organizing something. We need to restart the Hippie Peace Movement, its a must! WE must Start. We Must for the future of the earth. And If we can do it here it might start everywhere. this is only a thought. but its a thought to follow!
You have to bring everyone into the picture if you wish to protest, the reason one protests --- would be to get your point across and the way that happens is through connecting to others with your ideas.

Until people are pouring into the streets from every little nook and cranny, not just the major cities, but every little podunk town as well, an uprising, not much is going to happen. The people in the immediate vicinity of the protests may get it but the rest of the world won't because of media clampdown. The major city protests seem to be growing in numbers but when does it all come together? Guess that's the big question.
while this is a very good idea and its excellent that theres people who are looking to change the bad things here in the world, I think it's going to take more than a bunch of people standing around, waving signs with empty slogans such as "wage peace". frankly, that isn't going to do shit. What we need is real ideas, ideas most likely that we havent seen. A specific plan is needed besides "No War For Oil".
Still no concrete ideas? Boy, what a fucking suprise. I guess you guys are too busy planning a march in front of a government building with signs that read catchy slogans to come up with an original thought. Or at least to post it here. I hope you guys have fun complaning about society without coming up with alternatives, you'll be doing that the rest of your lives.
Awesome, here's how you can help: Think to yourself, "what do people need in a society?" The answer (I have) is freedom. Then, go about your normal day, but look around for things that restrict freedom, IE, systems of government, dependency on money, diploma requirements for certain professions, the dominating force of the automobile over many parts of Earth, etc; you should see them everywhere Now envision a scenario where these things do not have such a grip on our lives, and tell me what you see.
You know, some people have gone over what society would look like after this proposed "revolution," and we're coming up with some vivid ideas, such as "Money is an organizational tool" thread in Globalization, and a little in "Matt Might Hate Me For This" in Politics. They are real, feaseable ideas for what would be utopian as possible here on earth. And we're totally rocking your asses; the people who protest but would have no clue what to do if they really had to option to change things. Try thinking; you can do amazing things. Losers.
yes of course they should be qualified, about school, (im glad i got flak for writing that, it was said poorly) which is not at all a problem, but more of the current educational system, i am looking at it from a broader perspective, and i personally do not like spending a good half of the first 22 years of my life in a classroom or doing homework, i learn much better on my own reading etc... i think it is apparent that currency is out of date and is more of a hinderence than a useful tool. of course i think it was a good idea after simple trade and leading up to now, but it is a fact that because a system of currency is in use by society, many negative things in life that could have been avoided otherwise have room to grow in present society. Basiclly stated, what should be used is a free market scenario without the dollar, or any central trade item. Everyone works as they choose for the collective benefit of yourself and mankind, instead of your own benefit/dependency on the dollar. Think of it like this, would you work for free if you got everything back for free? There would be no classes, all individuals live as they choose. and the jobs nobody wants to do, likely, they arent necessary, i can take out my own garbage and we can probably get to a point where we minimize our garbage output but i digress, this would be like having infinite money for everyone. corporations like wal mart would die, everyone would work to their talent so quality of products and progress would excell beyond anything wed do in the present system, factory work can be run by volunteers or even redesigned to run on computer machinery. Governments would also evolve, to the point of every being as its own state (which is really how it is and has always been, unless you accept the fairy tale concept of government) lot less need for crime, more freedom to live happily no hostility, etc and the losers was sarcasm. or was it?
