I wrote a political poem last night and I'm turning it into a metal song. I'm already coming up with guitar parts and I'm probably going to spend the rest of the day on that. Anyways, here's my poem. It's dedicated to George W. and all the other shitty presidents we've had. “President Death (Where’s The Love?)” (T.Henry) What is this path of glory that we are marching on? Will it lead us to our victory or will our hate live on and on? Can we really trust our leader or are we his sword and shield? And who really is the winner on this bloody battlefield? Well I will pledge my allegiance and take my flag But I will never sell my soul to President Death You killed our friends You killed our glee You killed our families You killed our loyalty Where’s the love? When will it end? When will our boys begin their march back home? Do or die, justify Isn’t life worth so much more? Where’s the love? Well now President Death has been elected again Whose broad stripes and bright scars brought them pain He unleashed revenge, he dropped the bombs And just when we thought we were through with it, he red, white, & blew it Now tragedy and agony left the world in fear And now everywhere you look, all you’ll see is blood and tears Where’s the love? When will it end? When will our boys begin their march back home? Do or die, justify Isn’t life worth so much more? Where’s the love? Well if I could shake hands with President Death And look him in the eye I’d ask him only one question…. Where’s the love? When will it end? When will our boys begin their march back home? Do or die, justify Isn’t life worth so much more? Where’s the love?
I'd love to hear this song. If you record it, please post the mp3 on this thread red, white, and blew it, haha
