I think a mythology is an allegorical representation of the history of ascendance and domination of a particular culture. I see Hindu mythology as coded form of the history of Aryan invasions, which was the most interestinf phenonemon of the ancient world.
the gallows god is my interest, him and his 9 hung little dogs (and horses and other 7 creatures including man too....)
I voted Greek, because I think it's the most philosofical... but it was very hard to decide between Greek, Egyptian and Hindu. And the Greek mythology is the closest for me...
Hebrew because I live to see it and have studied it extensively. But Mythology isn't my thing... it's just glamorized Grim brothers stories taking place thousands of years ago.
eh, awesome, there are very few authors who can do awesome..... awesome is an over used word nowadays.... I myself am guilty of this. something like the world splitting in two and stand at the fracture point and seeing it happen..... that is awesome......... 300 spartans holding the persian army back long enough for the athenians to have a chance, that is awesome....... one time use ciphers...... those are awesome....... despite their simpleness......
go norse, greek is to common and overplayed, the fact that american schools teach Greek AND roman is foolish I wanna hear about hrungin and munin damnit, I want more about the gallows god and the world tree, btw if rhita gawr and a certain stag were options I may have picked them.......
I like all mythology. It's facinating to study the ideas of other cultures. Myths say a lot about their perceptions of themselves and the world. They are also quite simply very good stories. My favourite is actually Celtic, because that's my own heritage. It's good to know where you came from and the legacy. Voted for Norse. Quite like that too, they have all the best stories. I studied those a bit in school and still feel quite drawn to it (I've been reading an awesome story based on Norse mythology, by a friend of mine).
Norse. Whole my life I've been fascinated by everything that has something to do with Scandinavia, and I love their myhtology! Bragi, god of poetry, is my favourite
ahaha, take a wild guess... I like it because of the shere brutality and spiritual side of it... Because the gods and their function, their methaphors, sagas and so on thouch me deeply... Add to that it is also my legacy, as a direct descendant of the vikings, Raawrgh!!! Wich is why I am a 'member' of Forn Siðrs (http://www.fornsidr.dk/index_uk.html) wich is the danish Ásatrú society in denmark (If someone would actually take the time to read the short intro to the side they'd see what kind of religion it is, and no it's not a propaganda session, we don't practise the same control of members as so many other religions... Members are free to worship how ever they like)
