okay fellas, y chicas tambien... assuming you dont like to listen to shit, which one do you not like the most... and if you do like shit... then hopefully you will have some sort of revalation and stop listening to and buying these fuckers albums... so... which do you dislike the most?
Well, in mainsteam music, I'd have to say they are some that I can actually bare listening to, and although Jack Johnson's stuff is all the same (I've always said listening to his albums is like listening to one long song), I like the way his songwriting flows smoothly. I'm probably going to have to go with Dave. Ben Harper seems kind of like a crappier version of Xavier Rudd or Robert Randolph, though I do like him too, but there's way better stuff out there (er... like Xavier and Robert's stuff). Dave's stuff is too bland for me and I went to his local concerts around VA when I was three or, so I'm tired of his stuff. If Timmy isn't with him, I don't go to his shows or buy his albums...
im gonna have to go with jack johnson. His debut album "brushfire fairy tales" is a great album, but most things beyond that does pretty much sound the same. Not that bad of music even if its similar, its something to chill Ben harper does get on my nerves sometimes, just how he sings and his lyrics dont appeal to me much. He puts on pretty good live shows though, but he is someone i would rarely listen to on my own. dave mathews just sucks...
Nice title! I have seen Harper twice and Dave once and think they both are overrated pieces of shit. JJ, no clue, but probably worse...
Jack Johnson, no doubt about it. Any time I'm forced to listen to "sitting, wishing, waiting" on the radio at work I have an insanely strong urge to grab the cord of the radio and wrap it around the neck of whoever chose the station.
whoops, me too. and i voted jack johnson too...i mean, i like him the most and dave matthews the least.. argh i'm confused. i have brushfire fairytales...i don't mind it, it's good to have on in the summer when you and some friends are chilling in the late afternoon sun, maybe with a beer or two - it's the sort of music you have on when you don't want the music to be the focus, y'know? it's more of a sunny-yet-relaxed background album. i havn't heard his newer albums though, just what's been on the radio....yeah it is pretty similar.
probably dave matthews. and hey, ben harper did a cover of sexual healing that i liked....other than that, i don't much care for any of them.
they all have their moments when they look like intellectual deep beings... then they fuck that up within the first 5 sec
Actually, none of the band members were on the bus at the time... They got sued out the ass but donated $100,000 total to friends of the Chicago River and another group.
jack johnson can actually write good songs, except for "The Horizon Has Been Defeated" its hard to pick between the other two, but i have this really annoying neighbor who has atleast 10 DMB stickers on her car...
