Very inspiring to see someone doing a non-traditional wedding, it looks like it was very beautiful and peaceful, good luck to you guys!

 

Yeah, I figured handfasting out when I saw the broom and tie....

 

my brother is a minister. he lives in argentina--he converts the catholics. what an inspiration. anyway, despite this, he's a pretty cool guy. but he doesn't know anything about paganism, he knows i am not christian (and i know he prays about me all the time), but he doesn't know i am pagan. well, he couldn't make it to the wedding, but he saw the pics, and he says, what is the ribbon? what is the broom? and i said, ummmm they are just symbolism...well, it wasn't a lie, was it? it was just an oversimplification...

 

That it is...that wasn't a lie. You answered his question without saying things that might upset him.

 

I love it! It makes me wish I was at the beach.

 

Heh heh, he should start praying for himself. Too bad more christians didn't understand the true nature of compassion.
