What's in your Purse???

Mine gets different things sometimes. I often have a multitool * some other assorted things in case my bike has an issue while I'm riding & don't want to carry my backpack.

If I think I'm going to need it I will add in another pad.

When we have been to a resteraunt or picnic or some other thing where we are eating away from home, especially if our Daughter is along I will have napkins & sometimes plasticware as we leave.

Saturday our Daughter & I went to the zoo & took the city bus to get to & from. I carried a couple of water bottles & the buss schedules for the routes we took.

Very often I carry one of those water tight things that you can wear arounfd your neck that I have ibuprophen & some band aids in. I used to always have this but I just changed purses & it is still in the old one.

If I'm on some sort of medication that I have to take a few during the day that will be in there.

If I'm going out to a bar I always have at least one condom & some lube or I make sure to get one of the packets with these in before I leave. Of course I have a few smaller bags that isn't my usual purse so they alll usually are stocked with these essentials.

I often carry whatever book I'm reading at the time if I figure I will have a chance to read it, like when I'm taking the buss rather than riding my bike. The Looking Glass was the one that has been the literary occupant for the past couple of weeks.

Oh, ya, I forgot the standard answer my Dad would give anytime we asked him what was in something. In addition to the items there he would say "Air".

 

haha.. right on. especially when they have more stuff in your bag than you do.

Well when I go out I usually take with me:

Cell fone
wallet
a tampon
a condom
theres usually a pack of gum in there left over
a lighter or two
and usually a whole bunch of reciepts that i haven't been bothered to take out.

 

passport (because I am an alien), knitting project, sunglasses/glasses (depending on what is currently on my face), pad, sunblock, hair elastics and some medicated lip balm. And a ball cap for my bald husband's head... he burns easily.

and thats about all. just a bunch of junk!

 

right now, an almost empty bottle of water, gum, eyeshadow, mascara, eye drops, credit cards, my check book,my inhaler, calander, phone, 4 dollars, change, gum wrappers, reciepts, lint eww and this looks like a chewed piece of gum with lint attached...interesting

 

purse to me is kinda like a smaller, more ladylike wallet. So in my purse I have... cards, money and loads of old receipts. Well boring! OH OH and my lucky yen!

 

uhh... well my patchworked backpack is my purse haha so i carry that around, and i can carry a lot!! well lets see here...

* burts bees lip balm
* my house key on a keychain
* school id
* pictures of my dogs and horse and Grateful dead lol
* reciets or how ever u spell it
* plane tickets i never took out from reno and pheonix
* concert ticket
* gum wrappers and candy wrappers for my gum

on to the next pocket!! lol

* a bead? haha for my dreads were did that come from!!

Normally I'll also have my knitting needles (if I have a large enough bag), some makeup, a pad of sticky notes, lotion, a water bottle, and other stuff in there. My purse is pretty big so I don't even notice all the stuff in there.

 

Have you gotten too many things that you basically outgrew a purse? When I first started carrying a purse I went with a little thing that I think they call an organizer, It had room for money, keys, lipstick & glasses. Perfect.... Except that I had a bunch of other things that I ended up wanting to have with me. I have been through I don't know how many purses since but mostly they are all larger then the next with the exception of the evening bags I have bought & often when I carry them I leave the house with them in my larger purse & leave the usual one in our van when I go in someplace.

A good friend of mine is what she calls "freeing herself" she has pared down the stuff she carries around to where she has gone from a purse the size that I carry to one that is not much larger than one of those organizers. I am impressed but I just wonder how the heck she really does it. I am actually considering getting a bigger purse again.

I don't even own a purse... thats where cargo pants come in handy! ^_^

Oh i completely agree about the cargoes. I only carry my ID and money though.
