Just after peoples views on this one. What do we think about the possibility that when we sleep, our souls actually leave our bodies, and when we dream were actually there in spirit in that place?

    Thanks

whoa thats an interesting idea.... But when I look at it.... Its more like a plunge into our souls more than leaving our body.... its an idea though ...kinda scary because if our souls like that place we might not wake up o_O but I think that when we dream we connect with our spirits and we are more awake in our dreams than waking life. Have you seen the movie "waking life" Its about dreams, lucid dreaming, and how we arent truely awake until we dream.... if youre interested you should watch it.

    ~Peace~ peaches.

I see it as an implosion. What is meant by leaving the body? The soul rides on the breath.

but people have dreams in places that aren't real, or things aren't they way they are in real life... i have this reoccuring dream about the dead comming back and everyone is dying. then my family and some friends make it to this town that is fictional and secure and the dream ends after some social dialogue. how exactly does my spirit get to an unreal, horrible place?

and i agree about the plunge into the soul concept more, because i have been thinking of dark places of the sort for a while now. and i even have a video game based on the dead. so it has to be something locked inside my soul that i have yet to understand..

Don't you think flying dreams are the best, you know, where
your in control of where you want to go and your up in the
air hovering and flying over everything while asleep but all
    is lucid, clear and euphoric.

Actually, I see it as a real possibility. I suspect that some of the frustration and discomfort I feel in waking life is really homesickness for the world of my dreams that I've left behind for the day.

Believe me, flying dreams are the best dreams ever.
I've had several, but I can never force them, they just
happen and when they do I always wake up feeling
energised and unusually content. Some dreams I'm
gliding just above the ground and some I'm way up
just below cloud level looking down and if you really
let go you can sort of decide where to go.
