This probablyisn't the best place to put this but I figuremost people will see it here... pretty soon I'm going to be backpacking/hitchhiking to the Montana area and I'm either looking for someone who might be wanting to join me on this adventure (I'm terrified to go alone) or at least some kind folk along the way that have a hot shower I can jump into and maybe point me in the right direction. Chances are good I'll get a little lost... so if I could have some company along the way that would be stellar. I plan on going to Montana and I'll probably be camping around there for awhile. I might end up trying to get to Nebraska also.... if my dear friend is not yet ready to pick me up... yes there is a lot you are missing but if you knowme at all you know there is light at the end of this all. I will finally begginning on my dream of world travel.. so this is really the begging. only I'll be alone for this part. ... please anyone with any advice or anything that can help me out in anyway, please contact me. environmental_junkie@hotmail.com

When will you be going, and how long do you plan to be gone? I'd love to join you, but I'm too chicken, and the idea of hitchhiking scares the hell out of me. Best of luck in you journeys.
oh please join me maggie. Then there will be to of us it would be loads of fun and a sweet ass adventure. I'm going for as long I need to find what I'm looking for. Might never leave. But you can always catch a grayhound home, it's cheap and easy , email me environmental_junkie@hotmail.com
Hey, I just want to send well wishes and a little advice. I myself have traveled this way except hitch hiking, always took the greyhound. Plus I had a roadie for most of the trip. A good way to get food is to check out churches in the area for info on food pantries and showers. Camping is best, I miss that so much. Remember to get out or away from a bad sitituation as soon as you get that feeling, that somethings not right. If you do it safely you will have an awesome experience. If you ever head towards Cali, let me know. Goodluck and be safe. Peace.
I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, don't know if you are going to be my way but your always welcome to stop in and say hi. Unfortunately I can't do the hike at this time, but it sounds fun and I do love hiking. Your always welcome here if you want a place to rest, shower and eat.
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'm not sure if you're planning on coming this far east, but you're welcome here as well Alex
Sioux Falls is right by the Minnesota border, which is clear on the other side of the state from Montana. Alex
I used to live in Rapid City, which was on the Western part. I"m still wondering why I'm on the East side of South Dakota. Sioux Falls is only like 10 to 15 minutes from the Minnesota border.
