minimum wage here is 550RMB per month, about $70

 

That is horrible but I am not suprised. China has the worst record for human rights, and being paid so little that you almost starve is definately a violation of your human rights.

The sad part is that China actually has a really great and regal history. Sadly the Chinese gov't is messing it up.

I have always wanted to visit China. It's cool that someone who actually lives in China is on this board.

Wow, that is cool. Similar to some assembly lines up here in WNY. IEC for example populates boards with even faster machines, they are amazing to "watch". I put watch in brackets because you can barely watch them they go so fast.

The big problems is labor. You will never get an American to "sink that low" and sit on an assembly line stuffing parts that fast for so cheap. They would starve to death first rather than "loose thier honor" in such a meaningless job. Not to mention you would never get an American to work that fast... I couldn't imagine trying to get our assemblers working off of a conveyor belt like that, they would walk out the door.

From what I understand is the labor in China and Mexico also knows the alternative to not having the job because of little or no social programs to fall back on. They have to work to survive, no matter what they get paid. If it puts food on the table and a roof over thier heads, they are happy. Much like Americans in the 00's - 40's.

The age of cheap labor in America has passed. Now you just have to wait for the labor in China to unionize. Yeah, right. I mean fill the prisons.

I for one will continue to buy thier products, since they are of high quality, cheap, and where else would you go?

I wonder where they keep the slave labor. And perhaps some of those workers are reeducated Tiananmen Square trouble makers.

See, I can bring up things like this because I live in a free country that doesn't slaughter its civilians. My country won't actively silence my expression like China's does, especially in regard to the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Let's not forget that Abit is biting the hand that feeds it. It is actively investing and enriching the very beast that looks to seize its home country and its requisite freedoms. Like America's companies, Taiwanese businesses have sold their souls and their morals for a devil's bargain.

You might call this a troll, but it's not. It's a reminder that all that technology and advancement in China is coming at a price. It is emboldening a Communist government that looks to enslave and occupy its neighbors much as the former Soviet Union did.

So when you look at those pretty pictures and cheap motherboards, always remember the millions slaughtered at the hands of the Chinese Communists. They can keep their motherboards and their cheap goods as far as I'm concerned. No thanks.

Thanks for so many people of USA caring about poor man like me. But now , I met a hard problem! I am almost 28 years old , married a girl one year ago, but We have been living in a poor condition, no rich food , my wife is pregnant for six months, In order to pay the rental fee of house in the city, She is still working, lack of nutrition ,she often feel dizzy. does anybody lend me some money now, I promise to repay you in one year . The reason of lacking money is my parent are all farmers, they earn few money ,and for enducation of me, I owed a lot of money from my sister, that need me work more than 5 years to repay. now i havn't any fellow to help now. Dear God Sheldom, I really feel for you and your wife. You know, this planet is crap. Every country is corrupt. The media tries to brainwash us. All the bastards seem to have the power. Everyone suffering for no reason. I get so sick of it and I live in one of the easier countries to live in. God.
