In the thread about what we had in our purses there were mention of books hauled around. It got me to thinking that maybe it would be fun to share what we are reading or just finished &, if you know, what you want to read next.

As I said in that thread, I just finished The Looking Glass by Richard Paul Evans.

I think that the next book I want to read is Conundrum by Jan Morris if I can find a copy.

If I can't find it though I may decide to read one of Richard Paul Evans other books I enjoyed this one so much. There is also a possibility that I will read something from Jennifer Finney Boylan. I read She's Not There just before The Looking Glass & I like the way Jennifer writes.

    I am reading

    "Mein Name Sei Gantenbein"

by Max Frisch, a Swiss Author. Don't know weather there is an english Version, but the translation of the Title is something like "My name will be Gantenbein"

It's a about a man, who acts a personality and thus invents his own life. He is blind, marries a women. Pretty confusing, but I like the language.

I am reading False Memory by Dean Koontz. I just finished The Tommyknockers by Stephen King. Both books are really good, but The Tommyknockers is the better of the two IMO

    White Oleander by Janet Finch
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
    Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens
    Different Seasons by Stephen King

This is why it takes me forever to finish a book- because I'm always reading many books at a time!

What I love about Koontz is his bad-guys. He comes up with the most awesomely evil antagonists! Intensity was one of my favorites of his, and Watchers is my absolute favorite!

That happens to me, too. :D

Today at the beach, I read an entire collection of poems by Rod McKuen. The quote in my sig is something that he wrote. Le sigh...

I also have a Hunter S. Thompson book I haven't finished as well as numerous poetry collections and Lord of the Rings. But they're kind of boring me at the moment, so I think I'm going to start a book called Sermons and Soda Water by John O'Hara.

Bag of Bones was really good, actually. One of Stephen King's best books.

Bag of Bones is great, you'll enjoy it. A couple of parts had me on the edge of my seat and jumping from every noise I heard in the house!

Desperation is my favorite book of King's, if you are a fan of King and haven't read it I suggest picking it up.
