Once upon a time there was a king. The king was good, kind and powerful. He ruled a vast kingdom that stretched beyond the horizon. One day, the king decided that it was time for his two little princes to inherit the fortune. So, he got 2 ponies, made the little princes sit on them and gave them a pat... this way he taught them how to ride their little ponies. After he taught them how to ride their ponies, the king's horse gave birth two little male ponies then the king gave each prince... a pony. He told them that they had to race to win his fortune, he then said "One who loses the race will inherit my fortune" , so he made them race. Read on for the puzzle please: The race was described as such: Here ye! Here ye! Both leave the land, Both come back , but the thing that is slow wins!. So the princes set off... My my, the little princes were smart , when they left the kingdom... each tried to ride the pony slower than the other. Pretty soon... they were going very very very slow. This way, they wandered outside the kingdom with out ever finishing the race. Finally they met a very strange man. 19 was he, very old for them to actually ponder about his intellect, bad was he in his writing...and his puzzles were those that were not what they seemed to be. He was the Jedi of the Hip forums. They went to him for guidance and said " Oh grea Jedi , mighty in your wisdom please tell us what to do" and explained the matter as such. Jedi in his wisdom said to them, "little ones, puny in your intellect, do this and you shall be free of your grief" After they heard him , they raced hard toward the kingdom in order to be there before the other. What the hell did Jedi say?
well..... if "the thing that is slow wins" then the last one home wins. however, the king said, "one who LOSES will inherit my fortune"; therefore, the first one back loses, and ..... wins. ? i would imagine the excellent jedi would have said something like, "get thine asses back to yon motherfecking palace - doubletime!" haha peace
lol damn you got it Okay fine... but what if the king said "One who wins will inherit my fortune" , what then?
heh.... i just read it really slowly. dude, you've got me here. if the winner is the kid who manages to come in last, i would imagine that the king's fortune is going to go unclaimed forever! what does jedi recommend?
i think its time for a hint then!: Do you really go anywhere? lets say you were going to thailand. You get into a plane in USA but then are you going anywhere? so are the princes truly the ones who are going somewhere? if not then who/what is really going anywhere? hmm
....your 'hint' fucked my mind even more, lol what the hell? do you really go anywhere............ however, the only thing i can think of is that it's a problem of wording in the riddle... "one" who wins the race will inherit my fortune... *thinking* okay what i would consider doing is... getting off my pony and getting onto my brother's pony with him. then you get the riderless pony to go home and come in 1st, the 2 princes come in last and win the fortune. then they'd have to split it though.
okay... well, if you get into a plane in the USA, you're not necessarily going to thailand (if you get off the plane before it leaves, i would imagine). so maybe the ponies are the things that are racing. how about if the princes just kill off the ponies and inherit the fortune? ha ha ha..... ahhhh... damn dude it's nearly 3:30am and i think i'm done for. oh, one more stab: you said the kingdom was vast, and stretched 'beyond the horizon'. if the kingdom is actually endless, then it is impossible for the princes to ever leave it, and come back. therefore neither prince can ever possibly complete the race, and they both win the fortune. yay? nay?
lol good job. I thought you were going to give me only one of the answers, I guess you gave me both of them lol .
