He's defitinitely up there at or near the top...... haven't listened to his newer stuff really, but just his pre 1974 work puts him there. Its the common ground between me and noodly jam band music lovers
i dont think so... i would say his songs are good poetry, i dont think that they were good songs (Positilvy 4th Street is a good example). Also his voice just getting a annoying if u ask me
each individual is entitled to his or her own opinion... personally, i think hes good, but not the best.
Bob Dylan is my all time favorite. no one else even comes close. My favorite Dylan albums are Blonde on Blonde, Blood on the Tracks, Time Out of Mind and many others. So many say he can't sing, I disagree and I've never heard anyone who has a way with words like he does. I love him for his mind.
yeah and in bill gates there is no way intel is overrated, there are fanboys everywhere, dylan is okay, but overrated man can't sing, he uses that to his advantage, but in a conventional sense his voice is shit.... he's only so good at songwriting, not saying he isn't great, but the deification is to far, there are betters out there, to put him into some sort of music pantheon is foolish, there are better lesser known songwriters out there, accept that....
